I've been watching yall for about a month now. My largest project when from $7000 up 50,000. Thanks so much for showing me what I'm worth.
Don’t forget to send us the 10%! ;)
"You are getting in your own way" gets me every time.
Thank you for these seminars! It's the best thing on You Tube! I have watched so many lectures and seminar by Futur and I love listening to Chris Do. Everything he says is so important and valuable to me as a graphic designer! I must say I am a fan of Chris Do since I discoverd all the Futur videos...he is a remarkable speaker, a very skilled and an outstanding professional. Chris Do...you are my guru! I watch every single video there is on You Tube! Your input is gold! Congratulations!
Chris when are you gonna be on TED talks ? This stuff is gold.
Shadab Melio, that is what I am saying.
What difference would a TED talk do? We're still learning from this.
This is better than a TED talk.
This is his own TED talk xD
DO Talk > TED Talk 😆
"That's what makes them successful entrepreneurs, they always want to do better" - GREAT QUOTE
"You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with" is a great quote I never heard before, so thanks for that.
Although I suppose it is meant in a private as well as professional way it perfectly sums up a concept I have heard several times (maybe also on your chanel): Surround yourself with people that inspire you, build up a network to boost yourself and your work.
pixelasm yes!!
Best thing i've done this year, was finding out this channel. Really insipiring and educating project, i'm changing my mindset about design and business, thank you guys! Thanks very much for sharing an amazing content!
I found your channel early January this year and am grateful I did...am an upcoming self taught designer with no formal design education. But you guys have really helped me a lot. Thanks so much.
I went to Art School but it wasn't the best and so now I am reteaching myself the skills I need to be a successful designer. I would have loved to go to your school! Your videos have been so helpful! Thank you!
This intro is SICK!
You guys absolutely killing it. Discovered your channel some days ago and got addicted :-D Precise and easy to apply Design Breakdowns, in combination with that valueable business and money talk. Its a 100% fit to many Creatives out there, please more of that stuff :-)
absolutely. Share w/ friends please.
I will!
The best Design Channel on RUclips!
Johnny K. Yes!!
24:00
Q: How do better clients find you?
A: Portfolio updated; being an ethic professional; google's relevance n' keeping your stuff always stunning!
That's what I trust.
Let's see if you're right.
i love how all of your talks are relatable to any kind of business and not just design business. thanks man. keep it up.
Thank you Chris & the team behind The Process for all your work. Sharing these courses for free is true gold. There are plenty out here who lack the experience or learned business aspects the wrong way. You're here to fix that.
Please keep posting value.
I've been told that a lot. "Why do you have to be the best at everything. Get over yourself." I'm not trying to be the best. I'm trying to be my best - But I won't know what that is unless I push myself. It's always in regards to either my art, or exercising. I think I need to stay fit to keep my mood up. It balances art which can be very draining. Movement is also very creative.
You are so inspiring ! Thank you for making this video
Thanks!
Thanks for the cliffhanger :) Looking forward to pt. 2

Fred Wasson thanks! Coming right up.
Again, Awesome tip and talk. Mediation segment, everyone needs more of.
Antonio Samuels glad you liked it.
Namaste.
8:00 onwards, that is what I feel whenever I watch one of Chris' videos :)
I’m 28 and did costume design till recently when I realized it’s not working out right here and I’ve been in existential crisis for 3 years. I also do illustration and people started to tell me how I would be so great at graphic design. And it took time to hit me that I did wanted to do graphic design but I didn’t get in when I was younger.
I saved money , quit all the costume projects and got a regular shitty job so I can support myself while I finish graphic design, and signed up for graphic design course to learn all the Adobe programs and the basic of graphic design. As I already went to art high school so I have most of the basics and a sense for design.
I am soon going to finish the course, it’s a 4 month program and it has been stressful and hard working a full time job and after job rush to the course. I will be starting a portfolio soon, took vacation at the job to finish the course and start a portfolio and hopefully score jobs after.
I’ve been binge listening to your videos for last month in traffic wile going to work or studying for exams. My family doesn’t support me really in this path. My grandma is mad at me, when she found out I got into art high school she was crying. They are all looking at me from the side and feels like they all gave up. When it goes downhill I feel like they just like to point finger and say I told you so. That thought me to be my own supporter. Your videos has helped me so much! It opened my eyes to so many things. Thank you! I’ll fill you up in few months when I land a job to thank you again!
damnnnn... this is gold!....i really enjoy it... thanks
Thanks Juan. It gets better. So what's more valuable than gold? platinum?
Cool video, guys! I'll keep tuned for the second part for sure.
we get deep
ugh! i want more! lol. can't wait for the next part.

"I design sandwiches!" classic!
Great content! Thanks for sharing this.
thanks Christyl
This might be the first place where the business side of design isn't talked about with negativity.
that's the premise of our entire channel.
Boom!
Bam
Chris, i really don't know you are good at design or not !
But the thing I know you are really a Born Businessman, who know how to influence someone with talks, i tried your Design Business hacks & i am really succeeded by using them. I am freelance graphic designer from india, Design industry is kinda really competitive in nowadays because of Ai solutions (Canva, logomakers etc.) , people are paying really less because of freelance websites. But i think, we need to stand out of that shit making crowd of designers, by presenting the quality work for reasonable pricing.
I am working for a creative agency in UK, they really love my eye for design, but i love the way you present your skills.
I was there! I look good on camera. lol. great content, as always
Thanks man. First time we met in person right?
Yes sir. The start of the change of our agency
Link for part 2?
Great video! A question, you mention you hang out with other business owners, what networks would you recommend? I am a London based digital creative agency owner and currently I am on the lookout for such groups/clubs. Any recommendations much appreciated!
My professional network includes: business coach (who consults for other businesses and sometimes will put us together), financial advisor (who manages assets for a number of clients), attorney, real estate broker, faculty, etc...
Is there a version of Entrepreneurs Organization in London? That's also a great place to meet people.
Wicked, thank you! That is very helpful! I am looking forward to new video material - you guys do a great job!
Anna Rewińska thanks Anna. We have many that still need to be edited. Curious, do you watch the videos from beginning to end?
If you find yourself at a networking session, such as the one in Burbank, why not set up an introductory session for everyone there? 15/20 Minutes of talking that could allow for everyone attending to have an opportunity to present themselves and what they do, hand out business cards, etc... that way, there's still a genuine intention to connect and hear everybody's story and at the same time, the opportunity to generate a genuine connection as well as a business connection.
Take example from flower is inspirational ^_^
thank you.
I've been thinking i know you somewhere. Are you dr harrison wells in the flash or do you know the guy. GENIUS
Haha. Good one. He’s a good looking man though.
What's the music in the beginning? Not the skool intro but the music used in this series?
That's an Aaron question.
I really enjoy every single one of your videos. I've learned a lot so far. I was searching for one of your how to videos where you explain z depth applied to one of the xbox pieces you did at blind in after effects and i failed to find it, anyway, is it possible you've deleted it from the channel?
it's been temporarily removed until we are cleared to share it.
The Futur ok, sorry to hear that. I wanted to show it to a friend of mine who is starting at after effects and since I wasn't able to find yours I looked for anything similar in RUclips and what I found is nowhere near to what you explain in that video.
thanks for the affirmation.
where is Jose? haven't seen him for a while now. Great video Chris, thanks for the tips!
José is designing sandwiches through out US in his foodtruck :)
Mike Migas he's in India. Back soon.
The Futur haha awesome:)
you guys should give a talk in india .. would benefit a huge community there ..
prajwal vas Jose's in India right now. If you want me to come organize it.
Chris can you please provide the link for the lead gen webinar, if there is one?
Stash Man there is one but it's for members only.
Member in the Skool's site?
Stash Man yeah. That one.
Chris i fuckin love you, my mentor ❤️
Chris Do has his third eye open. wow 👀
lol.
good
"when you try to grow others life it will double grows yours" that came to my mind when i keep watching your channel for like watching game of thrones (never watch it by the way but for the saying) i must pay you back in the long run.... when times come i need your paypal for sure.. so i can live without a debts to you chris and the team.....anyway did the second part released?
Thank you! Go win some new business and grow your design business. I'll patiently wait for my #tenpercent. : )
+Chaminda Lakmal The second part to this video is titled "How To Get Design Clients: Sales and Lead Generation". Good luck.
Thanks, for this video. I want to know more about lead generation. But I think, it's not good example of reciprocity with monks. If monks will do with me the same think at least once, I will never take his flower or book. It's example teach us to reject all opportunities. But, if you want truly to help clients, you can give it away without any expectations. If you will wait for something back, you will disappointment about this new networking. The main goal of networking claim about yourself as expert, connector, designer, business builder and a good man, that you are passionate about clients’ needs and your services.
I like this lecture, but example with monks, In my opinion it’s not suitable for this situation in the video. I'm waiting your next video :)
Александр Селезнёв next video is already out. Check it.
Re: Networking
I don’t think Networking is something that you can just walk into a room full of strangers and expect for it to be effective. Networking at events can be effective, but they need to be industry specific or adjacent industry events. Never go into it trying to sell, but just to meet people and build relationships and help them if possible, not with a selling addenda. When people are aware of what you do and you have a good reputation, when someone now has a need for your services you will already be in their mind. Likewise they will be happy to pass on a recommendation to prospective clients. Word of mouth is the most trusted and powerful marketing you can have.
What the song title in the intro please
at 8:40 the ladie's face stopped getting blurred
Robbie Fikes we missed another one.
at ruclips.net/video/W9r5NbxxTW0/видео.html
is there even part 2 after 2 years?
yes. there are 4 parts to this series.
@@thefutur thank you. Have a nice day.
How can I join the class ?
you can buy a ticket next time we do it. we post events on our FB page and Eventbrite.
The Futur I live in France I so want to go there 🙌🏼
Hey!
Hi, Chris & Frank and the whole team!
I'm a design student from India. I did not understand what Chris meant by "Crafting messaging" (19:09)
If somebody could explain me or link some article, that would be great!
Siddharth Wankhade write copy. Give the brand a voice. We have videos on that.
ahah chris do is the prophet
> Live like tomorrow is your last day.
> Sells everything, gives money to the family, then starts crying.
> 2 days later: WTF I did
At what point José Caballer left the channel??
Hi Chris! i have a question in my mind . Why would a client choose me over a designer who is having more than 10years experience and charging the same amount as I am charging my Clients?
I don’t know. Why would they?
so the better question is how can i convince the client that i can give him the same or even better quality than the designer with more than 10years of experience ?
right. but don't convince. inform. i was ask you, why should they hire you? what would you say?
The Futur this the same question i have been asking to me for a long time . Suggest me something if you can :)
i can't since it's you. if you don't have any answer how can I cause I don't even know you. Try to write 3 things to respond.
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
👍🏽👍🏽
Is this in Germany? I realized the posters on the wall have german titles and paragraphs since im german. That kind of confused me since most people in the room where asians talking english. Can someone explain? I'm new to this channel, haha :)
We're in Santa Monica/LA. The german typographic posters are from a set of prints that I bought. I'm a big fan of german/swiss design. We're a culturally diverse group in LA but it does seem that there are more Asians in design than any other group. Not sure why that is. herzlich willkommen.
Ah, thanks for clearing that up
Can anyone tell me which font he use?-:)
Futura.
7:20
4:43 I just realized that's the guy from butler branding
That’s him
You say you are the average of who you hang out with.. what if I'm a bit of a loner? :(.. I don't really hang out with anyone. I try to go to some Breakthrough networking stuff for high performing entrepreneurs or art conferences but a lot of people I meet from there live quite far from me.
you can out with books (authors), films (directors) and other non human to human people.
And I guess I can hang out with The Futur ;) Thanks!
Somehow I find these values also in the bible.
Why is that girl's face blurred, in the audience?
I bet she's one of those whose friends or parents told her: "Do not dare to go see that damn Chris Do who will teach you about art and busines. You should go study law or a medical school instead!!"
And she was like, "Yeah, yeah, no - I'll definitely go."
"Hey, Chris, can you blur my face, please, I don't want family and friends to see I'm here - that dangerous you are!"
:p
we respect to individual needs for privacy. she asked. we did it.
Well we saw her face at a certain moment which made the whole concept useless, just extra work for the post-prod editor haha :D
Cool video, very helpfull!
Only thing I dont agree with is 'Live like its
your last day'. I probably would be sending out dickpics on my last day
Ps. What beat is that on the end?
the beat is here: soundcloud.com/aaron-szekely/izac-haze
"We all the same but ain't no two of us alike " - Zack Hemsey. Teaching of a ronin
Putting the previous quote aside.
For me, that phrase is just a way of life. reminding yourself all the time of the one fact that everyone likes to forget which is your mortality makes you realize that your time is limited and that you can die without realizing your dreams. It reminds you that shit happens and knowing that can intimidate you but it can set you free. It can drive to work better to the last breath and to not waste a lot of your time just doing nothing. Thinking that this day might be your last makes you sort things out and reset your priorities as if someone told you this is the last 24 hours for you on earth, you should live them fully on whatever you think is important for you not for anyone else.
As I begin with a quote I'll end it with a quote
“Just as a well-filled day brings blessed sleep, so a well-employed life brings a blessed death."
-Leonardo DA Vinci
beautifully articulated Mohamed. Thank you.
Thanks to you for the great content, you are one of my favorite channels.
I have a suggestion for a future episode that i wish you would consider. I'd like to see a video about self learning, Mr feng zhu has a similar podcast dubbed learning on your own and mr scott Robertson also did a good video called developing a critical eye. If you guys can add to the principles on these lectures it will be just great. I'd like to hear your perspective on that topic. Especially on the point of practicing like how you practice typography and how to get feedback or how to measure your progress.
I'm really looking forward to that video if you found that it's a worthy idea.
mohamed soliman great suggestion. Can you provide links to Scott and Feng? I know both of those guys because of art center.
You really can't end the video like that !
=(
Sorry? #Cliffhanger
jajaja Suspense is killing us!
We get into details about bidding and pricing.
Guys, the girl you blurred during most of the talk can actually be seen at 3:02
argggh. she didn't ask to be blurred out, but i see that we missed it.
i'm going to try RUclips's blurry face feature.
Blurry face worked!
The Skool Network Great n_n
From 8:40 to 8:47 too, guys.
Is it me or this guy has some Gary Vee mindset in him ?
Youssef ELG I'll take that.
I just finished the video, can't wait for the next part.
P.S : I admire him so much! Thanks a lot!
Youssef ELG Gary Vee is amazing! Next episode comes out on Monday.
connectorx wrong, not
:)
Jose now your eyes are closing. When I snap my fingers, you're going to close your eyes and focus on my voice. (snap!) From now on you will never ever steal my sandwiches at work anymore. I'm now going to count from one to four, and when I reach the count of four, your eyes will open up, and you will give me your wallet....
the first time i see there is some one unwilling to show her face in ur video...
林汉彬 there will be more.
but, that's not the point. I've checked ur videos for a couple of days. They r very helpful and I hope u can make more videos about ART&DESIGN. Because they r like brothers, but not the same. And many people design and saying design artistically, but they don't know how to explain what they do. Just saying, it's art, it's just a sense, feeling. Then I , WTF?!
林汉彬 I'm not sure what you want me to talk about. Can you redirect this in the form of a question?
In capitalism, the poor don't get poorer. They only get richer. If we assume that the transaction is voluntary not forced on them.
Why there is a woman with a blurred face?
I am also curious.
Жалко, что не на родном языке. Труднее воспринимать.
Translation please. Here's what google said "It is a pity that it is not their native language. It is more difficult to perceive." Sorry, but we only speak English. Maybe someone can help us with this?
I'll give my best.
really interesting topics are on this channel but the presentation is so boring guys.. the way you talk is more for the meditation sessions instead of "boosting" people- push them to act...
how should I be more "boosting"?
