It's soft and sweet, so it's a taste that comes to mind every day

bread
2 eggs
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 cup milk
1/4 tablespoon cinnamon powder

It's a way to make French toast like a hotel breakfast!!
I will support you to always be a delicious and happy daily life^^
When I worked as a breakfast line cook (and later the breakfast shift Sou Chef) in a restaurant in Boston we only used eggs and milk for the dip/wash. Never grilled the French Toast in butter as it is too easy for the butter to get brown or even burn (and who wants blackened French toast). We used a light brushing of veg oil before every run of toast. If the customer wanted to have it sweet, we provided a wide variety of syrups (all natural) and several toppings including different fruit toppings (made in house with no sugars added) and whipped cream (lightly sweetened).
Thanks for your insights. As for browning the butter, good observation. At home, I'd probably use ghee (clarified butter) instead, as the proteins have already been remove. But I grew up in a restaurant and appreciate the demands that puts on kitchen staff.

Sorry to say this but America does the worst breakfast eggs. Omelets too runny, scrambled eggs overcooked, and French toast with undercooked bread.
I use better all the time. I never use oil. I never have a problem with burning. Plus the butter gives it much better flavor then oil.
@@rm3015 you are right. I love bacon and scrambled eggs, but I could not eat the shit that Americans serve as bacon and scrambled eggs. Was aweful

Я так же делаю частенько, только без корицы( первый раз вижу её применение) Только гренками называем мы их. Надо с корицей попробовать.
I only use butter in the pan and turn down the heat and have never burned one piece. You have a beautiful pan but I use a larger non-stick one that will hold at least 2 or maybe 3 slices of bread at a time. The bread can also be cut into triangles before dipping so more fit into a smaller pan. The absolute best French Toast I have ever had was made with sourdough bread. Thanks for reminding me to make this more often!

My Mom made French Toast similar to this 60 years ago. .she used brown sugar and evaporated milk..pinch salt egg and cinnamon.. it was delicious I make it all the time..topped with strawberries and whipped cream...yummmm😋😊

안녕하세요. 혹시 시나몬 가루 양이 1/4T 가 맞나요~? 요미님이 넣으시는 양과 다르게 현저히 많아서 넣었다가 숟가락으로 다 걷어냈어요 😭 혹 작은술인데 표기가 잘못된거 아닌가하는 생각이들어서 여쭈어요~~^^
Try sprinkle some shredded coconut, fresh fruits, whipped cream, then sprinkle with cinnamon powder sugar. You’ll love it even more! But go with simply black coffee!

You can use pastry piping bag to squeeze the cream on, or simply spoon it on.
I add eggs, milk, light brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a little salt and pepper to the dip. I soak the bread in the mixture until it is almost saturated, being very careful when lifting it out of the dip. Yummy!
In France we call it "Pain perdu" It's very well known by many french. You can replace the cinnamon by vanilla. Eat it with a ball of vanilla ice cream, or put some melted chocolate on the top, or even some strawberry jam ^^ it's all delicious
We can bake it with toast or brioche, but usually, in old time, it was a way to use old bread which became hard. It was a way to not throw it to the bin

Above all in France we don't use such a soft bread but mostly stale French bread slices.
In our family this is one of the first recipes the children learn to make. Both boys and girls learn to make great French Toast by the time they are five years old. It's always great fun.
The same with my girls. They now can make a salad (with dressing), make their own eggs, prepare a great steak, and a few other things. My wife is a great cook, but they learned most of their cooking from me.

I always add a drop or two of good Vanilla . (Paste is best) It's amazing how easy it is to make this. Guess What ? It's really weird, but it tastes just like a doughnut, if you turn it on to a plate of Caster sugar at the end. Mmmm

In Spain we call them "torrijas" but we leave the bread with the milk for some minutes so the bread can absorb all the milk it can. And they are delicious!

Но мы же не добавляли сахар в яйцо и не поливали сиропом. Мне лично не понятно это сочетание.

Aqui no Brasil chamamos essa torrada francesa de rabanada na maior parte de País, mas em alguns lugares a torrada é chamada de fatias do céu.
Sendo que, a nossa rabanada é frita com muito óleo, e salpicada com açúcar e canela, essa deve ser ótima, por ser feita na manteiga ❤️

Try brown sugar instead white sugar and add teaspoon of vanilla. It's awesome. My family love my French toast.

French toast at most motels comes prepackaged frozen in a box. Use French bread 1.5 in thick cut a slice in the middle and stuff it with cream cheese and berries then dip and saute

This definitely looks yummy. I would fry up a tiny bit of bacon first, then add the butter and then the soaked milk bread. This would give the French toast not only the sweetness of the milk/sugar/egg mix, but also some of the smokiness of the bacon which would add a little saltiness to the final flavor and aroma. Yum!

For a treat, top your toasts with warmed orange marmalade as the French do and sprinkle some fairy dust (powdered sugar). Simply warm the orange marmalade and thin with a bit of water as needed. Super simple and elegant. Do not add vanilla to the marmalade.

Да, у нас это обычные гренки, но ведь подрастают новые поколения, и им неоткуда взять эти знания - кулинарные книжки они читать не умеют, слишеом много букофф и страницы надо переворачивать. А ещё ведь и оглавление есть - как его понимать?!!! 😃
Почему все называют это гренки? Гренки это мелко нарезанный чёрный хлеб, жареный на сковороде или высушенный в духовке! А мы в детстве мокали ломтики булки в молоко, обжаривали на сливочном масле, потом сверху посыпали сахаром, и это называлось советское пирожное!

I mean yeah. Looks great. It's a basic French toast recipe. Can't go wrong. I do it at a lower heat so. Your butter is getting browner than I like.
The butter is burned by the second piece of bread. I use a very small amount of vegetable oil. If you want butter flavor then spread some softened or melted butter on before the syrup, or instead of the syrup, which is nothing more than artificially flavored corn syrup. If you are going to use syrup, use real maple syrup!

И называется этот завтрак гренки...обычные...
Такие гренки готовила мама в моем детстве, и я всю жизнь готовлю, а мне уже 61 год.

I butter the bread , then pierce with fork and let the whisked eggs absorb into bread, once one side is cooked I turn eggy bread over and add grated cheese ...Delicious.

여기서 팁하나 저기에 바닐라빈을 좀 넣거나 바닐라 익스트랙 넣으면 좀더 느낌이 나는... 그리고 시나몬가루는 계란 풀기전에 우유에 풀어주면 더 쉽게 풀려서...쉬운 요리 화이팅!!
Really do not need the salt, and ground cinnamon works well and adding a little vanilla also works well
No milk added. I love cooking in melted butter. Eat with buttery syrup or jam. My all time favorite!!!
