Congrats! It seems the Batman suits you best. And I'm sure it's not your only watch. So you are still be able to rotate a bit. For myself I'm going to stick with my 114300 because It's still the best looking and most versatile Rolex IMHO! 😉

Nice watch, I waited five months for mine here in the U.K., had it for 2 years and sold it for more than I paid for it, have now bought the blue two tone sub. May get another GMT some day though. Although spending my cash on omegas too .Enjoy my friend.
There will always be haters whatever you do in life. Don`t even think about them. I own the exact watch that you just purchased and it is a significant piece from a Rolex historical point of view. The first time they have introduced Bi-colour on a ceramic bezel.
My only friendly advice is try not to flip this one if you can in the event of purchasing your next Rolex, as this will hold its value very well. Superb watch and best of luck to you.

Hey Emkwan, great video! Could you recommend me a first watch for under £1500? (I had a Tag in mind, but after reading about them, they are of quite poor quality). The only one I've shortlisted so far is the new Hamilton Ventura in Steel released at Baselworld 2017.

rolex are a very normal plain looking watch aren't they especially the all steel ones. I much prefer a stainless steel audemars piguet offshore that you have.

Awesome timepiece! Definitely an iconic collectors watch and owned by most Rolex enthusiasts. The build quality is solid and the ceramic bezel is stunning! I owned the black version (GMT II c), it ended up being a safe queen because the polished portion of the bracelet is a scratch magnet. I eventually traded it in for a no date ceramic Sub with the brushed ss bracelet and wear it alternately with my Panerai PAM312. The Sub is better suited for daily wear or as a beater compared to the more dressy and scratch sensitive GMT II. Enjoy your new wrist candy, just make sure you avoid desk diving when wearing it. :)

Assalam O Alaikum Brother. No its not even if anyone says so. I am into wrist watches since my childhood. Its not about money. I had the same problem choosing b/w Rolex and other brands. I bought a panerai which was more expensive then an ordinary sub or gmt. Maybe check out other high end brands like Jaeger le coultre manual wound. Check out with other companies they make some models without gold. You can email or check ur local dealer. This is the fatwa I asked personally from Shaikh Assim A very famous Sheikh and the reply is :Question in Detail:

Brother the problem is 9 out of 10 scholars say you cant. The thing is Rolex is good but not the best. It is also recognizable among the people who dont know anything about watches. Rolex are mass produced hand assembled not hand finished. They are mid tier watch brand that are mass produced good and durable but not exclusive. You see alot of people wearing rolex. Everyone is different. I am a Pakistani living in Amsterdam. Every time I go I see somehow someone wearing a Rolex that is also something against it.Its not about money. You can have Richard Mille free of gold if money is not an object maybe cost u a million dollar. Rolex uses it to prevent tarnishing. It is just the index and hands are 18ct white gold. There are alot of Muslims who wear gold and do other things but the answer is u can have brands that are way more prestigeous in terms of pedigree. Rolex didnt even existed before 1900. Check the Rolex history, Hans Wilsdorf was a great marketeer not a great watchmaker. Do you in times of 60s and 70s and before that omega was more prestigeous brand tha Rolex. Time never remains the same. By the way Omega Planet ocean is a good choice they say its gold free. The thing is every one cares about resale value which is stupid. Watches are emotional and personal. The more expensive the lesser resale. Rolex is good on resale because everybody knows about them but that does not make them the best maybe only amongst those who dont know much. For eg how many people know about Parmigiani, Laurent Fleurier,Moser etc.The only people who buy rolex for resale are the people who cant afford to have a luxury timepiece.

The point is is it not permissible because it looks feminine? That's the ruling against silk and gold. They are ornaments for women. I'm just confused about the ruling itself. Also when you say 9/10 what do you mean ? Has someone quantified this ?

I went to all rolex store in Abu Dhabi (WTC, alwada, marina, yas, khalidiya and dubai mall) made friends with the sales agent and waited for almost 2 months just to get the batman.
