Urbex Tips: #04 - How to Find and Research Locations

Just in case you've never used Google before, here's a few tips on how to find and research locations so you don't end up being that person in the comments asking for an address. 🙄

Good tips. Personally, while I'd have no intent to vandalizes (as many do), I'm not sure that I could resist salvaging interesting artifacts. That could be considered burglary [but to me it's not much different than when I by really old stuff from Goodwill to save it from a landfill] and, sadly, that's why I don't do these explorations...

What a great tip!!! This is exactly the method I used to find one of your most famous explores. The abandoned mansion in Colts Neck, NJ which I live close by to. A simple google search brought me to several articles which gave out the address. Fortunately I was able to explore this location 3 months before it burned to the ground. I was also able to find an excellent location to park my car where it wouldn't be questioned by rich homeowners not wanting people in the area with google maps. Keep up the good work.

Theres a house on Cocoa Beach a block from the ocean that is all over grown, boarded up .. I wonder how to do it without police involvement..Maybe ask the neighbors if they know anything and possibly get permission.. with police they way they are I would want to do it with knowledge of the neighbors to show I wasnt up to vandalism. There are 52 sites in Florida. I just need a day off of work which is 7 days, 12 hours.. damned exhausted. Thank you for making some of the greatest exploration videos on youtube.
