I was considering wearing a hi viz vest and hard hat together with a print out from public records of a map or other info on a clip board. Having second thoughts now. I'm the type of person who can't maintain a ruse, I'd just blurt out that I'm a trespasser.
I’ve seen explorers wearing sneakers and I facepalm, especially when walking through a flooded area which happens a lot. I have a pair a hiking boots that are more like sneakers that are completely waterproof. These are the type of shoes I would wear.

After many years I still wear steel-toed boots with a shank in the sole. Learned a lot during Vietnam. Excellent video and information.. Thank you...

I recomend old steel helmets or some other open helmet like things... falling ceilings and such are common
Like as if you can store an extra pair of shoes and many other extras in a camera bag... so a backpack will be necessary.
