Thank you so much for making this! I’m sat in my garage changing the derailleur hanger this very moment and was wondering what the hell pull and twist meant.
you da man! I HAVE taken a slightly bent hangar and straightened it by laying the flat side on a vice surface and placing a 1 inch putty knife (stainless steel) on it and gently hammering it straight. It's been2 years and original hangar still hangin in!
I bought hanger from North Shore Billet, Canada. Pull and turn - Part is made of aluminium.
I broke my plastic pull and turn lock ring and now I need to find replacement. Bike cannot be ridden without that piece of plastic! I stumbled on the NSB hanger that looks to use aluminum lock ring. I think I'll give that a shot. Glad it's worked for you

Try pulling the stays away from each other and at the same time turning the ring.
Please record a video showing how you lock the cap. For the life of me, I cannot get it to lock!
Do it pushing in and turning right at the same time. I did it and it worked

Where can I buy a spare plastic pull and turn piece.
My derailleur hanger broke and I'm trying to replace it. I was able to remove the nut Pull & turn with pliers, but now I can't put it on the new derailleur hanger, enters very, very tight... Let's see if I can. Any tips? I just sent a complaint to Orbea, I think they should redesign that nut, it's the worst I've seen...
hi, nice video.. just yesterday i was looking for what is that for.. one question im having some problems with maintenance removing the short cranks near the rear suspension, any advice? ..

Is the derailleur hanger a Occam specific part? I have an Occam and I m looking to have a spare.
Indeed, Occam has its own specific hanger. Contact your local dealer to get hold of a spare or two :)

You can also order from Orbea directly. They were out of stock when I got a spare but I found one on amazon.
I'm looking for one for my WILD FS 2020 and it seems to be the same as Occam as far as I can tell, so maybe also search for that? So far I've not found one in stock from a store that would ship to me, though...

You can do it with no tools it's just not that easy, need to get a good grip with your fingers. With the hanger removed you can also take the chain off the bike without splitting it.
Thumbs up for taking it off without tools! I didn't succeed (yet) after 4 attempts. Trying it by hand every single time, tho! 😁

There is a trick!!! Simply insert the new hanger into the locker and turn counterclockwise to release.
Rotate the washer it will come off
I was able to remove it rotating counterclock wise with pliers, another outside another inside. It only takes only a couple of degrees to open. But, worst nut in a bicycle so far…
