Nice knife, not sure if matron would let me have sharp objects. Nice video, you have just made me realise that there is no isolation or drain off for my expansion vessel - I need to sort that out.
Great video as always...what made you go for the press fit gun you have. I haven't got one but really in 2 minds which one to get. Appreciate any advice.
Cheers Nick .. I had a rems before but it annoyed me as it was super heavy and 2 hand operation. This Milwaukee gun is compact, light, uses batteries i already have. Defo recommend
Parkes Plumbing 😂 I went on a Worcester bosh fault finding course a few months ago and expansion vessels came up and apparently we’ve all been fitting them wrong . The thread should be on the top of the vessel as heat rises so the water will go in and out easy . But when you put the thread on the bottom hot water gets trapped in the vessel . I can’t remember the rest I think I was in shock when he told me 🤣
Hello! Love the videos ….quick question! Always notice the Protection Racket cases……..What’s the story with the drums in the garage?. I am a plumber and semi professional drummer and would love to hear about your drums and drumming! 🥁🥁 Thanks Sir
@@ParkesPlumbing nice one! Plumbing & Drumming! I have been in bands for years also,we had quite a few paid gigs lined up for a few years…..then COVID………nightmare now! Had three cancellations last week for upcoming gigs!, Plumbing is great for drumming as you get used to carrying a load of heavy stuff in a van and struggling up stairs with it! Ha Ha Ha Ha Keep playing my man and keep up the great videos!
Really enjoy the video's and the humour 😀 Anyone have any tips where to buy plumbing tools as my lad starts at college in Sept and want to get him a few bits 👍
@@ParkesPlumbing I been plumbing and pipe fittings/welding on and off for around twenty five years with no passion or love for the job I even did Scaffolding between jobs. Until I had a heart attack two years ago and was off work for 3 months did my head in. Then I was given a old iPad by my son to watch stuff on and found pbplumber dr pipe and heating geek So it made think of my job as a passion not a choir I just did it because it’s work watching them made me want to change so I enrolled on to gas foundation course to get gas safe before I couldn’t be bothered I still get paid without it why do it? I got a job for a local firm plumbing for security I used to contract all the time working towards being able to become my own boss one day. And then watching you with your attitude and way of over coming stuff or problems with a bit of fun involved is how I want to be.
Good to see you back, and well done for taking some holiday, think more self employed plumbers should say and show they do actually take time off and holiday and you don't have to work 24/7, 7 days a week once you have got the balance. 👍👍
Nice one mate.. Really enjoy your no nonsense real world vids and approach... 15 years Gas safe & 25 years plus plumbing... At 56 years of age I'm thinking of going out with all guns blazing by investing in a press gun..... Nice one once again👍🏾
Installers just dont give a rats arse about servicing and repairs, I would have told the customer, sorry but its not viable to install the boiler up there and advised elsewhere, bloody madness. As always great vids mate.
I don't think press fit will last because the seals will perish in time. I've seen plenty of push fit that is 15+ years old and starting to leak. I rip it out and start again. The best PEX systems now have eliminated the seals. And why have they laid all the pipes on top of each other - great job whoever did that have you heard of heat loss and waste??
IF that has condensate pissing out within casing, then technically POC is escaping via same route is it not? I had one of these situations and thought yeah...it's an AR. Tutor on ACS course said it's an ID and explained that POC must be coming out also. What are your thoughts?
The utility knife would be useful as I've just finished school and started plumbing with my dad and should start my plumbing course this September if Covid don't f it up and would be handy to have cheers.
Love the new knife. Had the old one missus borrowed (stole it). Found it outside rusted up. Need a replacement for them now (both the knife and missus).
I love the weird ones to be honest. Last vessel I added had to be replaced about a month later cos it was a dodgy one that failed and when I took it out of the back of the kitchen cupboard it weighed that heavy I nearly dropped it through the cupboard floor 😂. When you go into dark places like that you should always carry a utility knife, just in case you come across any lost, crazy plumbers
That's a lot of entries!! .. (thats what she said)
Nice to see you back mate a break does us all the world of good 👍
That job looked like potholing no chance I'd get scared under there 😂

Great content as usual 👍is it ok to put an isolation valve on an expansion vessel? Or am I getting confused with something else 🤔
Totally fine. If it was to close .. the expansion just wouldn’t be there
Top video as always, I love the random clips they always make me laugh! glad to see you back!

Totally agree about the press gun. Had mine a couple of months now. Has changed the way I work massively.
