Completely agree with you regarding people using drill attached brushes to clean the stainless steel heat exchanger, it really gets to me and I cannot stand it, I work for a manufacturer and it says nothing about that in the MI’s so I have no idea where people are getting this from. Infact rather than cleaning the hex you are actually destroying it by removing the heat treated coating which contains chronium which is the element that stops the ferrous iron rusting through. When people do this it accelerates intergranular corrosion and the ferrous iron balls build up and the outside of the heat exchanger which have leach out of the stainless steel. Which I turn destroys the hex and turns the trap orange. Sorry about the rant.
Do you know what I find a good tool and alternative to the viesmann cleaning blade.. a used multi tool blade, it’s the right thickness with a cerated edge and small so you can get your hand in whilst using it. And I’m a cheapskate. 😂
Great video mate makes good Sunday evening viewing I just noticed that viessmann boiler service you done although being the new LCD model still had rubber hoses ? I haven’t seen one of the new ones with rubber hoses I thought they all had copper of pipes. What are your thoughts on these boilers I’ve been fitting them last 10 years and I have had very good results from them and great feedback from customers regarding efficiency and quietness .but fellow tradesmen mostly don’t like them but never give a proper reason as to why!
That was one of the first touch screens to come out where they had hoses. I love viessmann boilers .. they have their flaws but can be maintained easily and parts are cheap when getting them from the right places
@@ParkesPlumbing Thank you for the reply Tom. yeah I’ve been fitting them for the last 10 years starting with the vitodens 100 WB1C series boilers , mate the customers are over the moon with them! I love them to as driving to a job with a Viessmann boiler is not something you’d dread as you know it’s going to be an easy job! There is no other brand where you can get the burner assembly out in seven or eight minutes! If they were no good Tom I would not have one in my own home! Every boiler seems to have its own flaw , What do you think is the flaw of viessmann boilers?
Viessman are a really good piece of kit but so are many other boilers, I’ve been on this game for over 25 years and I can’t say that they are superior to any other manufacturer. As Tom said they have issues but so do all the others. It’s more to do with the Installation and how thorough the maintenance is that makes the real difference, as you could have installed a very cheap £500 boiler really well and have it serviced and maintained to a very high standard and this boiler will run perfectly for 12 plus years, and on the other hand installed a £1200 boiler really poorly and never service it and after 5 years it will require replacing.
@@kevincranfield5235 Yes you are spot-on Kevin very good information it is I believe all down to the professional installation I am down in Sussex mate and a good quality installation carried out thoroughly on a clean system is key I think as down here you need to maintain your high standard reputation Of work quality I had a lot of trouble with other brands over the years and it doesn’t inspire much confidence for the customers but with the viessmann boilers they seem to have given me a better name! Yes I recently fitted a few years back some ideal independent combination boilers and they have been quite reliable too But now we seem to have to compete with the guys who were prepared to fit a boiler for £400 and I find it very hard work to get anywhere near them and do a thorough competent job. Life is getting harder mate!! Thank you for your comment
Great Outro this week mate 🤣😉😉
Lol

Great video pal!!! 🙌

Totally agree with you on that Kev 😏.

Using a brush attached to a drill to clean a heat exchanger is bloody stupid. Would you use a carbide tipped saw blade to floss your teeth???
Not enough blasts
Sloppy left foot returns
Great video again 👊🏻💥
Cheers Jan
