Very interesting. Good on you for finding & diagnosing the problem. Temporarily is it worth selecting a Generic CNC and hope Easel doesn't overwrite the settings? I've never selected SainSmart, used Other Grbl and never had difficulty with losing CNC machine settings. Though as you mentioned, after clearing Edge cache, I often lose machine definition, I always believed settings were held in a cookie getting cleared.
