This music hypnotize me everytime when I listen it and I have listened so many times already. It flows like clearing everything in my brain and just close the eyes and let move your hand and head automatically.😑😊😍
Como decía Pau Dones: la pureza está en la mezcla. Es un placer inmenso escuchar esto. Sobretodo si aceptamos que la tierra es redonda, no hay nada plano, todo gira cojones. Jjj
@@engleharddinglefester4285 The drums are so good! Reminds me of Alceu Valença, this kind of rhythm is very close to some brazilian folk music. Makes me wanna dance! And thanks for the reply, i forgot about this, now i will listen to all the set again!
Mdou is playing through a small, vintage Ampeg. I wonder what model it is? These little Ampegs are great and not on a lot of guitarists' radars! Anyway, I'm from small-town Southern Ontario and these guys clearly get the same thing I do from pluggin' a guitar into an amplifier. Music doesn't see culture or nationality or ethnicity! Music sees only love & inclusion! What's wrong with having friends, I ask?
Can we put Mdou, this drummer, John Paul Jones and Maynard together please? We would end up with a super group which might just unite everybody together once and for all!
Haha well spotted. There is a story behind this lefthanded guitar : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mdou_Moctar (BTW he's playing a white Strat like his idol Hendrix)
Very good song he talking about the live he said in the live you have to be a smart patience and kink in everything you have to do you have to you have to thinking about very nice I love it
I’m hypothesizing here, but I can think of two reasons. First, a Strat might give the tones used in African music better. Second, many African musicians have to MacGyver their gear. A Strat, being modular, would be easier to tinker with than something like a Les Paul.
Abdallah Oumbadougou s music but not the same lyrics though. How do you call it plagiarism ? What a disgrace ! Abdallah was desert rebel s hero and he used music as a weapon to free his people. I know his music by heart as i have heard it played by his son Hamawassa every single day of my life. This music hurts so bad because it is stolen music. Dear Mdou Moctar, you know how to impress people with your guitar but not in a single video on stage have you paid a tribute to Abdallah. Again what a disgrace !
There is nothing more universal than music.

It seems like every time I see Tuareg guys playing guitar, it's as always a Fender. Good choice, but I wonder why that is.
Mdou Moctar is using a white strat probably because his idol is Hendrix...
@@davidvincent380 That makes sense!

@@martincox9691 I hadn't thought of that, but those both sound plausible, especially with the maintaining of the guitar in the desert!
I believe the guitar was a gift from an American promoter.
