they were targeting bigger names for this one. if we get a no-NDA private playtest where streaming is allowed I'm sure they'd invite him. just how marketing works.
@@purple1703 no I think it was a great showcase from some familiar names in a lot of different communities, some others will be able to play it soon as well
Coming from someone who played the first month or so and moved on like 95 percent of the playerbase this game looks like the first with extra elements that no one asked for. The game died in our friend group due to no portal cd seeming kinda cringe where gun skill was second to portal spam adhd kids and no one wants a crossmap wallhacks ability and one way shields. Coming from a non splitgate player this game will be DOA like the first if the devs dont change a ton
@@Aaronsplace It seems as though they’re shifting the focus of gameplay away from the portals and more towards other gameplay mechanics that I think will appeal to a more mass scale rather than the typical Splitgate 1 player
unfortunately this is again not going to go anywhere, splitgate died ages ago, it jumped up in player #'s because of a single streamer playing it like twice, and it died instantly after because people realized the portals weren't it, no matter what other mechanics they add, the portals alone destroy the casual player base, which the game won't take off without them.
@@brianpancotto8829 yeah the casual playerbase is def important but I do think they raised the skill floor a lot by limiting the use of portals in this game and adding more direct counterplay
