    Have you tried buying anything right now? Pella has by far the best lead times currently at all of our lumber yards and dealers. Everything is delayed right now, most manufacturers are 20-25 weeks out minimum-plan ahead

      Bought plenty lately, garage doors are 20 weeks out. My issue with Pella isn't lead times, its communication and expectations.

      Hogwash. 8-12 weeks I was told just 2 weeks ago. Maybe longer. And all my casements rotted out on my new home built in 06. I’m fighting them now.

    Had delivery issue with Andersen windows and door wall order through home depot. Ordered 9/9 and reordered on 10/92021. Door wall installed on 2/9/2022, window not delivered. Windows installed on 3/29/2022. No screens. Screens delivered on 6/1/2022...So many issues not mentioned here

    I waited about 4-5 months for my impervia windows and I was remodeling my house so I didn’t have a tight schedule. The windows kept getting delayed but they were worth the wait. On the other hand I ordered two milgard windows a month later and they showed up 2 months before the pella windows. Pella is slow but that easy slide operator is really cool

      I have Pella Vinyl and Marvin infinity Fiberglass. Thinking about the Pella Impervia but don’t like the vinyl plastic at the trim, feel they should be 100 fiberglass. I love my Marvin windows. Not a fan of my Pella Vinyl. Do you still the Impervia? What do you think about the weep holes? Any issues with the plastic trim around the glass?

      @@nfn7121 so far nothing yet. I live in NorCal so the weather is really nothing compared to the rest of the country. They have stood up to the recent rain nicely. No issues in wet weather. The bad thing about the impervia is the hardware and screen pull tabs. I had Pella come out twice in less then a year to replace them and they sent me a couple locks to replace on my own. Hardware is junk. I think that Marvin fiberglass looks far superior to the Pella.

  • @joec5850

    Yes, their customer service is terrible. Check the following reviews - positive ones are less than a year old, and haven't started leaking yet. Or, they live in an area with no rain. Every Pella in my house leaks, some as soon as 3 years that I noticed. Pella has done considerable damage to my house. No remorse. Check out the class action suits against Pella.

  • @heisman9
    @heisman9 2 года назад

    Missing a deadline isn’t nearly as bad as that duct tape looking textured finish on the Impervia Fiberglass.
    Pella realized awhile back their windows were inferior to Marvin and Andersen across the board and they changed their business model to offering fewer colors, sizes and options and went out offering amazing lead times instead of better products.
    Then everyone started ordering for their lead times and their lead times pushed back. If you’re buying on lead time you might consider that you’re not the only one and what that means about the chances of them hitting it.

    Pella has let us down as well! We paid for our windows for a new home construction back in mid-March with a lead time of 12 weeks. At 8week mark when we reached out to Pella guess what?!?! They took the 50% deposit in mid-March but never placed the order! Now they are having significant delays and are giving us October delivery at the earliest! Our whole project is messed up due to incompetent sales rep as well as Pella not willing to honor our priority in the queue! In hindsight, I guess it was good as when I reviewed their customer service / warranty complaints, it’s a mess. Will not recommend Pella to anyone or buy them any more!

    My New England framing company has built millions of square feet of structures ranging from starter homes to hospitals most framing contracts are for labor to complete framing / sheathing /Roofing ,and window door installation installed thousand of units of PellA Windows , for builders and homeowners all windows supplied by the client after many attempts to persuade not to purchase .we have installed every series and I can unequivocally state herein, that the way the window is design will eventually leak. The leaks are between the glazing and the wood sash , I have personally videotaped during a downpour . Service is poor and delivery issues and missing parts are normal when dealing with them .. stay far away from this window , it’s plagued by leaks and has been for years .

    David...You never rated the windows, just the delivery delays that ALL manufactures are going through. I'm sure you have looked at other manufactures but you won't let anyone know that their lead times are worse. You also didn't mention that Pella would have allowed you to cancel your order but once you found out that delays are everywhere you just said, lets make a video. The bottom line, there are delays everywhere...what you are doing is defamation of character. Pella should be going after you. I have Pella Impervia and they are great...had Andersen and they failed. Not one problem with my Pella products.

      I don't think it's Defamation if it's all true, but I really do like Pella, and am hopefully putting an order in this week, if the customer signs, we're all aware it's gonna be 3 to 4 months and maybe more to receive. I agree I came here to hear a review of the product. but I still like hearing everyone's stories, and input about lead times.

    We had 17 impervia windows installed 15 years ago with our new construction. These vinyl windows have been a curse. It's almost impossible to open/close them from day one. Pella came out to inspect with no solutions offered. They don't slide (I just push and jam them). They don't match up for locking (I just give up and pray for no intruders).
    The weather is hot these days and we just installed an AC. Now I have to struggle to close them in the afternoon when turning on the AC and open them before going to bed as the temperature drops. My shoulders are hurting so much after one month :(
    I regret so much getting Pella windows.

    Hi, David! My husband Hayden was your sales rep. I remember your project vividly as he came home multiple times, kicking himself that there wasn't something more that he could do during the multiple delays and hiccups- none of which were his fault. I remember him being upset that there was nothing more he could do to personally help. He is one of the kindest and hardest working people I know. He represents the Pella brand so, so well and was given multiple awards from our company this year due to his level of service. He was really sad to see this video, and I am, too. Salespeople are people. This isn't any fun for us, either. In fact, your project being delayed directly impacts us, too. Having to call our customers and tell them their project is delayed is the worst part of our job. We don't like letting you down. Hayden is a human being just trying to do his job. Pella is a company just trying to do ours. I'm sorry that you had this experience, and unfortunately you're not alone. That said, things are much better nowadays after the end of year rush, so I really hope you'll give us a try again. I work for Pella as well, but let this be known that i'm saying this personally, not in any way affiliated with my company.

      I appreciate the comment and I understand that the delivery process was out of your husbands hands. He was a nice guy, but I’m still looking at a garage that’s not painted because the project was delayed 2 months for windows and then getting them installed and the siding folks left me with weather too cold and wet to paint. I stand by my statement that, I will never buy Pella windows again. I hope the message and the absolutely awful back of house operations at Pella gets back to someone that actually cares at corporate about the customer experience, particularly when Pella fails to perform and deliver as promised.

      @@northwestfarmdad5891 You're not alone. The pandemic created significant supply chain and product shortage issues. We are not the only company experiencing this. Our back of house is amazing and we are extremely lucky to have the team that we do. Manufacturing delays aren't their fault, either. We DO actually care. A lot- otherwise I wouldn't be commenting on your video.

      @@mollywyatt7493 I appreciate your loyalty to Pella, but at the end of the day, somewhere along the line the Pella system broke down. Not just from a manufacturing side, but in the fact that nearly every week in September and October, I received a new date and a new push. I had to go out of my way to keep myself informed. I also get that I'm a small customer and I'm sure that I was at the very end of any priority list.

      @@northwestfarmdad5891 I don’t work for Pella Corp, but to be fair to them everyone was having major issues delivering product during your build timeline. Heck I couldn’t find coil stock to save my life. I have 30 years experience in construction and have never seen anything like what was experienced with the supply chain struggle. Thankfully that’s since passed and timelines for all companies from Anderson, Marvin, Pella, ect have all normalized

    • @aaronsmith903
      @aaronsmith903 5 месяцев назад

      Additionally the industry also during the time of supply chain issues also had huge growth. This wasn’t normal times. I’m sure your experience was affected by that, as was everyone’s. To me anyways I didn’t hold it against the manufactures and companies. More of the governments shutting and throttling down the economy over a virus. Heck it took me four months to get a washer, cars were delivered missing options

    • @northwestfarmdad5891
      @northwestfarmdad5891  5 месяцев назад

      It was much more than supply chain. The communication was abysmal and that has nothing to do with a virus or supply chain. Heck at one point pella couldn’t tell me if my windows were on a truck from the factory. The response was, well, we’ll see if they are in the truck when it gets here.
