I hear a lot of covers that just completely miss the mark, like sephiroth's one wing angel in orchestra, yuck. If they're not rushing the tempo or over emphasising the wrong instruments, they are flat out improvising the material at times and it's really noticable. I don't hear that in this music, it's accurate and I like it.

It gets such a bad rap even though its the first Castlevania to truly earn the metroidvania sub-genre moniker long before Symphony of the Night. Open world exploration, leveling, backtracking, weapon upgrades. Was never more cryptic than the early Zelda games were yet it got all the criticism for being hard to navigate without hints.
