- Hello everyone! This is a long awaited video as a lot of you have been requesting for a 2014 City. Well, now I am able to upload one for you all, so do enjoy!
The variant that I have in the video happens to be the top of the line 1.5V, so it does have a few bells and whistles that the other variants do not have, such as the Touch Panel climate control, 7" Display Audio head unit, front fog lights, 16" alloys and 6 airbags.
This is the style of reviewing I look for.
I recently bought this vehicle two weeks ago : here are my comments about the car Honda city VX(O).
Pros:
1. Lots of software driven features compared to any other car in the same segment
2. Driving is pretty smooth ; got a good pulling
3. Ground clearance is good enough for most of the bumpy roads in India.
4. Nice AVN
Cons: 1. Dash board finish has a bad quality plastic
2. Interior is not all that great compared to other segments
3. Very delicate body
Recent problem : My AVN was continuously rebooting while driving and the only solution for that was to do a factory reset. I'm hoping to see better in the coming days.
+HondaFan Hows the noise when you drove 110KM/h+, heared the engine noise are quite loud when it passed 120KM/h.
a very informative reviews for those who are searching for new cars. A fresh start for new car buyers.

Very comprehensive review! I have a few questions though
1. What are those things that look like little speakers at the door handle(car interior)?
2. I saw in this review that there was an option to connect to wifi? what does that actually allow us to do?
3. I have heard that the Navigation System(Not shown in this review) sucks big time, how far is this true? I'm pretty sure if we can mirror our phone apps we'd all be using Waze. Is that even possible?

the shape looks much better than its rivals in the B segment but i think it should have had LED rear lights to make the rear look much better...or they shd have offered it as optional..
If I seek fuel efficient, low cost ownership, features and ride quality, would you suggest 2013 corolla accent sport or mazda 3 neo or this honda city vti-l ? Il be driving around town and CBD n few road trip. And which car would be the most value to buy? I know they in different segment class but what would b good option . Thanks

Hi I just bought City a few months ago but on the day of delivery, I noticed that the dashboard and the gear handle are both very dry and feels rough whereas the brake handle and elsewhere are glossy looking and smooth to the touch. I take it that the car has been under the direct sun for a very long time at the Honda centre with no shades. How did yours look and feel like when you first got it? How does brand new dashboard suppose to look and feel like? Is it very shiny and smooth?
I know the comment is from 7 years ago. However, I actually own a 2014 Honda City V with Bodykit in brunei. Bought it on 2017 and the dashboard is alright for 6 years. It's quite dusty but it shines a little.

Hi Alex, i heard u said the the sound system do come with a aftermarket speaker and woofer at the boot. What does this mean?
Jayden Tiong The speakers and the subwoofer in the boot are not stock items from the factory. They have been replaced by the owner upon delivery of the car.
alexlovesmac Thanks for your reply. wish to clarify further, so if i wish to add on the subwoofer and to be placed at the boot, i need to ask the engineer to get a wire connect from the front till the back of the boot? Or is there any pre-wired cables ready for it?

u cant say cvt has infinite number of gear ratio.. just that the cvt changes the ratio continuously rather than pre-set ratio..
i should have convinced my parents to buy this instead of the vios :(
Hei Alex, quey about the MHL/HDMI socket. Can I connect a Note 2 to it and output a mirror image of it on the 7" screen? Like Google Maps or Waze?

No it does not but you can have it installed for RM 2+++
this car should have rear disc brake
even honda civic 2013 in USA does not have rear disk breaks.. and honda makes light cars, you don't really need them. what you need is fatter tires atlest 195/60

This Honda City is very good in fuel consumption, practicality and spacious but the quality, fit and finish are bad. The reliability and design is just ok.

how to change the language in the display?
Gamith Adithya hey buddy, press the big setting button, then you see the top menu home/display/ sound beep etc. go to arrow, press right and then you will see a tab for Others. In the others menu you will see language. :)

Go to settings then press the system button.
On the system screen you will see a top menu saying sound/beep. To the right of that you will see a > button. Press the > twice and you will see a menu called OTHERS.
Select OTHERS and you will see that the 3rd item down is Language :)
I did search this video and it shows you at 15:35 :)
