Bought our XC60 because to keep our kids safe, we need to trust the car. Also the winter capabilities are surprisingly great.

XC60 did worse than expected in IIHS new side crash test. Volvo is falling behind. Tesla is the new safety leader.
@@chrisak49 Personally my fear with ev are batteries... if I had to buy an EV today, I'd take one of the lower trims of Tesla, or Smart #1 etc which use LFP batteries. Even if it's a probably quite rare occurrence, I don't want to worry about dying in an unextinguishable fire.
@@lilietto1 Plenty of gas engine cars catch fire after a crash too. It is not like the fire department will be there within 5 minutes to distinguish it. You will die in a gas or EV car if it catches fire and you aren't able to get out.

I am an owner of the XC40 recharge. I like everything of the car except the lack of the physical buttons for climate control (I know I can speak to google...😅). I think those everyday-use functions should keep physical control so the driver does not need to "watch and touch" the screen that could distract him from the traffic. I am a little disappointed to see the EX30 has all the controls on the touch screen, which in my opinion is not very safe.
Agreed. With redundant buttons or knobs will be much easier to use. And it’s actually safer since driver spend less time on screen.

Adoring my 2 month old baby ha! - XC40 Recharge Bright Dusk Ultimate. BMWs, Teslas, Mercedes are common here in Hawaii. I wanted something not everyone has and I’ve always admired a Volvo. I’m a very happy parent keeping it ceramic shiny and fun driving it.

I think Volvo can take a major advantage of their USP solely by focusing more on their marketing and advertising strategies. They are providing safer cars than any brand in the competition (if I'm right) yet they feel unnoticed. A great advertising campaign can help maybe? That's more relatable to today's generation.
Looking forward to the delivery of my preordered EX90 here in Denmark.

Простите не очень хорошо знаю английский язык но что то из ролика я понял! Но будте любезны из компании вольво объясните почему на моей volvo s80 p3 с завода стояли 16 дюймов тормоза 300 мм которые абсолютно не тормозят и мне пришлось их самостоятельно заменить на 336 17.5 дюймов хотя вы в своих роликах так Хвастаетесь безопасностью но при этом устанавливали на эти автомобили такие без толковые тормоза !?
The stopping distance is the same as about anything else.
@@yamahaevoна большой скорости и при интенсивной езде тормоза перестают работать и плывут это 16 дюймов , когда 17,5 дюймов продолжают тормозить.

My sister were on bad car accident, but thank god they were XC90.. There is not much left of that XC90, but human wise only one broken bone and thats it.

JUST ADD PHYSICAL BUTTONS TO MAKE IT MORE SAFE.
We have identified that the design of the interface is more important than the number of touchscreens when it comes to user experience. For the current and future use cases that we see our customers having to handle, we see a lot of value in perfecting the right balance between physical and digital surfaces. In other words, we don’t stand still, we keep evolving our thoughts and perfecting our user experience. /Niamh

The p4oblem with touchscreen is that for basic setting you have to tap on screen like 5-6 steps which earlier could be done with 2 button clicks or less.
Also in cars like EX30 , The driver touchsreen has been removed ,no heads-up display added, which makes driver look to side while driving to check speed instead of front. Makes it more unsafe.
Would be happy if you (Volvo) decide to give 2 touchscreens and a decent amount of Physical buttons. Using physical buttons is more human and easier as driver learns that after 3-4 months and use buttons without looking at them.
Hope you add them back in Volvo EX30 Cross-Country.
Have been driving Volvo’s for over 40 years, different models of course. Wouldn’t dream of having any other make. Know have an XC60AWD Diesel. Fab motor. Many years ago had a blow out on back offside tyre, doing 70mph on motorway. Didn’t know as the car kept in a straight line, smelt something and pulled over the lanes onto hard shoulder to find tyre in shreds. That’s what you call safety.

Volvo is the most inhumane brutal car on this planet. Only egoists who only care about themselves, their families, who don't care about others who get hit by a Volvo, if they die or are seriously injured, drive a Volvo.
Volvo only cares about humans inside Volvo cars, it doesn't care about other humans who get hit by Volvo cars. Volvo is making a car like a tank. A heavy hard-shelled steel car gives more damage to a small car, and it can kill humans in a small car more. It's indeed a crude and egoistic ideology. Thus that kind of conception is only admired in some unique countries like China where the price of humans is low even though a Volvo car collides with a small car and kills someone inside the small car. It's a shame to drive a Volvo. Driving a Volvo, you are automatically declaring to the public that you are an egoist or like a dictator in a 3rd world. All cars on the public roads must have equal softness, hardness, equal ability to absorb the energy of the collision yet Volvo doesn't follow that gentleman's logic. If someone drives a car like a tank, then other people need to confront it, then need to have another car like a tank, everyone needs to drive a car like a tank then the public roads will be a battlefield. That's why that kind of logic is only acceptable in a 3rd world, in a battlefield, or China.
