@@wingoreviewsboxingandmma3667 may I ask, what is your opinion on using the phenom fshg or fly superbar for kickboxing/muay thai sparring? How much does the facebar hinder seeing low kicks and roundhouse kicks?
I love the SHG-250 better but I like cheek protector headgear better than facebars. But I do love this facebar, if you need the extra protection go with the facebar

Phenom keeps putting out good quality, innovative gear. I like the slim design & lower face bar. So, this headgear doesn't have that suede material on the forehead area? Question: I have a 23" cranium. Do you suggest I order a Medium or Large?
They did take the suede forehead area out and replaced it wth their "sticky leather" (As I like to call it). I have a 22.5 inch head and I'm at the max end of medium. If I was you I would order a large
Was about to place an order but saw the microfiber version and phenom says it only weighs 16oz, do you think the weight reduction would be worth it? The two sell at the same price
If weights an issue yes. Mine weighs about 23 ounces. Synthetic is also much easier to clean because it isn't an animal skin so you can use cleaning chemicals on it. But it's a personal preference thing. Leather also breaks in and stretches to your body/head better than synthetic. So keep that in mind as well Btw that's Also great question

Hi. I buy this headguard from your review and i’m a little bit disappointed. Quality is top notch but it doesn’t fit like on your head. It’s very strange that it cover your mouth and not your nose because it’s not the case for me or my friend that buy one too or another youtube reviewer. So it only do that with your head. On my head it cover the nose and same for my friend and the other reviewer. I just want to add this for people looking to buy this headgear because it cover the mouth. That’s the reason why i choose this one, that’s why i’m a little disappointed. I’ve even tried a larger one and it covers my nose too. I’m not complaining about your review at all. That’s the way it fit on your head :) take care

I have the and size head and went with the medium. But I'm not sure how the large would have fit but I'm assuming a little large because medium fits me perfectly
I just weighed it, 19.75 ounces. The padding is so well evenly distributed that actually it feels much lighter when you have it on than what it actually weighs.

I don't have a problem seeing and defending kicks while wearing them

I prefer the cheek protector headguards myself. But it depends on you and your individual needs

How it fits on my head vs how the Fly fits in my head is why I prefer it. But not everyone has the same head I have so it may be different for you
