About Aquachigger:
I enjoy metal detecting for historical items like gold coins, relics, silver coins, and other buried treasures. I also metal detect for gold and silver nuggets and even meteorites. I like to make videos that promote my choice of lifestyle that includes outdoor adventure,
metal detecting, yapping, searching for river treasure, SCUBA diving, exploring abandoned places, hiking, caving, caring for animals and pets, and observing the things outdoors that often go unnoticed by most people who are not familiar with outdoor adventures and nature. I keep my RUclips "Aquachigger" channel family-friendly and hope you subscribe if you like my style.
BTW, you can also catch me here, / chiggsarmy ,but I may get a little edgier there. FB isn't a place for kids anyway...lol.

It appears you were at the old mining and railroad town of Chubbuck. I camped inside the concrete dugout in the 1960's. That RR line used to be Santa Fe's "Parker Cutoff". It's been operated by the AZ-CA RR for many years.
Very cool
That same one
Probably pollution from Riverside is what you smelled in that storm! Those keys and clothes looked suspicious. Good God be careful man!
Just a few clips tonight of some of my strange wanderings in the Mojave.

Foul Smelling dust storm ahead of a rain storm... that's mud you are smelling. Yep, we do that occassionally in the Wilds of West Texas. The dust is full of all kinds of chemicals and organic matter than when the moisture hit's it.... just magnifies all those aromas.
Oh my nenith Chigg..
That dust in the wind was the smelly remenac of Ricky.
Cadiz? Off interstate 10? A mojave green at the end of the video. Extremely rare. Hv seen just 2 in 55 years out on the mojave.
That rattle snake at the end was really neato! I live in north east Indiana and we don't have any of that cool stuff up here really
Love all the desert scenery, the smell of rain and the wind blowing. Too bad there is always someone who wants to ruin the land...
i used to live in that desert from 1978 to 1986, i was 12 when my mom moved us to new york. many many odd things happened in that desert that no one believes when i tell the stories. believe it or not my favorite part besides building lame bmx tracks was trekking out with my dad in his 1950 era chevy pickup with a magnet looking for aluminum cans for recycle money. we would find so many cool abandoned cars, many rattle snakes, and just about everything imaginable riddled with bullet holes. Now it almost seems like my california childhood is just my imagination, but my brothers and i still talk about it once in awhile so i know it wasnt made up lol
I too have a different upbringing not as interesting as yours but it does feel so long ago and different like it was another lifetime..I miss most of it lol
Aluminum cans aren't magnetic tho are they?
@@centraltexasbassin2228 no they are not, that's why we used a magnet. Usually it was easy to tell by the bottom, and the weight. But that was not always the case so we had the magnet to be sure. Plus we collected non "can" aluminum also, and that was when the magnet was most useful.
@@savageoldman that makes no sense. I just chased lizards and jumped cactus with my bike.
Aluminum? That’s odd.
Thanks Chigg it makes me sad that people can take things into the outback but they can’t take it out with them 😢
Its really frustrating to see all of the junk people just leave in the desert... No respect...
The shot of that storm…just beautiful scenery
Beau~ I know the mojave, and personally know that you gotta be some kind of crazy to keep going back there. The area is moonscape beautiful, but some people out there are more dangerous than the snakes and scorpions. Please please never let down your guard.
Here's a nod of respect for your Wife, she must be a very understanding woman.
Thanks for the videos. Fun stuff, if a bit scary.
how are they dangerious and are they common people im very interested
I would never go out in the boonies without a 1911 .45 on my hip with a couple of spare loaded magazines and since I woukd be in my truck, I'd have my FN SCAR 17 with several loaded magazines. Out in the desert, a 7.62x51 can reach out and keep stand off distance out to several hundred yards.
They are called desert rats. Some people live in the middle of nowhere just because they can't function in society. Others live out there because they are running from the law. Some are just scavengers and would rob you of anything useful. You never know so you pack for the worse. I'm paranoid so I pack for the worse. Help isn't going to come. They know that and you know that.
@@ms.annthrope415 very interesting stuff
No body in the cooler, just a floater in the toilet😂😂
The smell could be blowing in from the Salton Sea? Look me up next time you are in the area and I will take you to my place to find arrow heads, near Barstow.
Cut right before those trains collided!! 😁
Weird personal kit of someone there, the top and car keys etc.
The disgarded clothes, keys, needle.....heartbreaking.
Agreed! And needs further investigation
Well Chigg, let me tell you we've been camping out by that concrete dugout for over 35 years. Last year a group of about 20 people stayed there for about 2 months and pretty much trashed that place. If you found any of my 8 mm type 14 Nambu brass in that pile go ahead and keep' em. A funny story about that place, about 5 years ago we had camped there for a weekend and 2 older gentlemen in a Jeep showed up with their grandkids and told us that their father and them had built that dugout and that concrete slab back in the forties. There was an old gypsum mine operating then and at 1 time close to 1500 people lived right around there.
That's cool. Thanks for sharing the info. Except for the trash, it really is a neat place.
@@aquachigger Well Chigg, I shared your video with a bunch of my buddies and we're kind of guilted in to going out there in January and
cleaning up some of the trash but people have to realize we're not the only people who use that place so we'll do our best. By the way I know where at least 3 old gold mines are in that area if you're interested in the future.
Are they accessible? Or do you need repelling equipment to enter them?
@@48thstateprospecting one is just tailings and one is relatively accessible the other requires a 4x4 to get too. Yes, Repelling equipment would be helpful .
We gun enthusiasts don't need any more bad behaving individuals.. clean after you self
Keys and clothes looked very suspicious, there might be a body around there
Hope there wasn't someone lost out there - guess you gave up on your missing person quest? Don't know why people have to be so dirty? They trekked that stuff in there, why couldn't they cart it out?
Following the trails from the illegals
Lots of stuff going on around this great Nation of ours that we will never be able to figure out. I know one thing about remote areas and its if you feel like something weird has gone on or is going on it probably is or has.
Chig' there is a place you might want to check out it's called Afton Canyon it is between Barstow and Baker. The Mojave River comes up to the surface and flows a short while then it disappears! As quick as it comes up it is gone. The scenery is spectacular("California's Grand Canyon") the history goes all the way back... being's there is surface water in huge amounts year 'round I think you could find a bunch of good "content" It is definitely a real wow spot wrecked train cars .... Thanks for bringing us along on your adventures...
I hope those clothes n key Ect were not someone missing. You do find some of the strangest items. Lol.
You were probably smelling the Creosote bush. When they have moisture contact they emit an interesting smell.
"Hold Your Breath!!!
First sign you are on someone's private property is everything you see here. It may look desolate but you are driving down maintained roads with private lots to each side.
Do you see any Sheriff's?
They don't go out there.
Be careful, cautious, roaming around through not so vacant lots.
Be careful of Desert Fever
Thanks for sharing Chigg.
You’re right. I caught it. It can kill you.
what is that
Alright you got me Chigg, the Rattler in the last clip made me jump !! Haha, wasn't expecting it. I'm glad you didn't step on that one.
Drugs, guns, dead things and vandalism. Yup sounds a bit right fur them parts 🤠
Giant TV... how close are you to the tracks? Someone might’ve looted it from a container.
Hope you turned off your pickup when that dust storm come through. Pickup can suck up that dust in your motor.
It just amazes me how people will travel out in the desert with full bottles and cans of refreshments, drink them then leave the empties which weigh little to nothing out there. Does it take that much effort to put them back in the cooler. After all they're not as heavy once you empty them .
The t.v. may have fallen off a train. They get broken into in the L.A. area and the doors on the containers get left open and stuff falls out as the train is moving. I work for U.P. and see stuff strewn all along the tracks quite often.
5:57 That scared the heck out of me, I was anticipating a train crash and got a rattlesnake instead! 🤣
that little circuit board came from a key fob I believe
I would let this guy talk my ear off with his stories in a bar. I just love listening to him, he's got a great personality. Also I just love seeing the American landscape. I've never been in the USA and currently it looks like a far-fetched dream, but maybe one day.
Love your show from bc canada Do you ever stay home? 😂
I remember that smell when dust storms would blow towards Denver. I figured it was from the stock yards in Kansas.
Stockyards in Northern Colorado. I grew up up there and it stinks.
If it smelled that bad, why didn't you get back in Your truck could have been dangerous. Good timing at the end.
It looked like the train was going to wreck. Hmmmm
Are you aware of missing 20 year old farmer Dylan Rounds?? He's likely buried in the desert somewhere.
He hasn't been found yet? The last thing I listened to about that kid was some crazy manic private detective spouting some very strange stories.
That surprise snake at the end… Man, that was cold blooded. Scared the crap outta me and I’m watching a tv screen.. “why’d it have to be snakes” - Indiana Jones
We all have a very different olfactory sense. That smell may have been the creosote or cow dung.
Chigg. Can you go help search for Dylan Rounds. 19yo missing kid in the dessert. Get Chiggs army on the case.
I've been through hundreds of large dust storms in New Mexico but I don't recall any of them smelling weird 🤔
Electrical static. Perhaps. Ionization.
We had a dust storm come through and it smelled like cow poop. It stunk!
WELCOME TO WACKY COMIFORNIA!
Great video like always!I want one of your hats, but I don't see any in your store. :[
Keys some are brass too! Any hue nice Troll Train's Kissing 💋 with a bit of a Rattle!!!; )
Crazy! Trash everywhere these days.
Chemdust
Everytime a Chigg video drops I say to myself "Here comes another crazy adventure I just can't miss."
The trains. “Quickly, Brad, there are thousands of lives at stake.”🤣🤣🤣
Chigg and trains go together like peas and carrots.
Something I learned recently is a lot of rattlesnakes have their rattles broken off so you'll never hear them.
For some reason I like your desert vids a lot more than your Southern vids.
FIND KENNY !!!
You’re probably on the backside or downwind from 29 Palms Marine Corps base sewage, evaporation ponds. Not good.
Chigg ~you have more freedom than a single man !
"Horror in the High Desert" featuring the AquaChigg
Your sure find some interesting finds chig...thanks for all great videous ..just stay safe ...😊
Ever thought of being an actor? Especially in western themed films, tv?
Hey chig ! Is that possibly as you say a Samsquantch ! Let's hope not , ya better not go around that back edge were the wind is coming from ...
Lmao... careful bro , great content , I always enjoy watching ya.
Always enjoy your wanderings and wonderings. Is that the rattlesnake you almost stepped on? Got caught in a "haboob" by Las Vegas a few years back. No fun as they penetrate everything. Would have been just as apprehensive re: the cooler.
Love that little jumpscare at the end! Keep us on our heels!!
I'm always expecting you to come across a snake, and there he is, Mr. No-Shoulders himself!
Chaka, that's hilarious. Those were the very words I used then I saw the rattler. All the best.
2:15 "It's a toilet! I'm actually kind of relieved." Well, that's what is for, isn't it? Gotta go before the storm hits!
The shot with the train passing was beatiful. I'm sure it looks a hundred times better in person.
Must have the wild wasteland perk.
I bet those train engineers have seen some stuff.
👍👍😁👍
Love that desert rain smell, looks like you were sniffing a bunch of valley fever 😂😂
Keys, cell phone contents, a woman’s one piece top. Hundred percent most definitely crime scene evidence you stumbled on. All the items she would of had in her pocket.
You could make some good money off all those cartridges, even with the steel ones
Well at least you got brass you can melt into a badge, Sheriffs star?
I think what you smelled was the volcano from Hawaii
Cool stuff👍hope you have a great weekend 🌞
loving the desert explores please keep them coming. thank you for the content
Are those huts for antelope hunters back in the day?
That’s what I always thought when we found stuff like that.
You found a toilet and you were "relieved" ... ok I had to! 🤣
I see what you did there!!!
@@michaelsimmons261 Hehe! He said it inadvertently, I just had to point it out! 😆
Nice looking rattler, perfect color to match the clay and sand.
Lovely looking danger noodle at the end...I would be pleased with all that brass too. People do weird things, you would think there would be a dumpster far nearer home than the middle of the Mojave.
I've always wanted to see the Mojave
AHHHHH!!! What's the story on the snake? Was that just before you stepped on him?
Could be wrong, due it's coloring, it looks like a Mojave rattlesnake.
And never open a frig, they always smell very bad
Well I'm glad you're safe there's a lot of stuff that goes on out there in the desert close to the border too lot of weird stuff always happening loud or safe see you on your next one👍
THAT IS ALOT OF BRASS! NICE FINE, PAYS FOR LUNCH!! LOL
Might have been getting the dust and smell from the salton sea.
I'm relieved.... it's a toilet!!!! LMAO!!!!!
You should not use God's name in vain it says so in The Bible
Isn't there silver in a TV? Not a whole lot I guess.
Good video
4:48 I sure hope that wasn't some sort of crime committed there. That little circuit board, set of keys, clothing, that looks like either a blouse or dress and the hypodermic needle just feet away make me think that could have been the use of some sort of drug to sedate and rape/kill someone. Makes me wonder if there's not a body out there somewhere. It's too much stuff clumped together and the circuit board may have been taken out purposefully to let it get destroyed in the exposed sun, rain and dirt.
I know. So many weird things going on out in the middle of nowhere.
Yikes, rattle snake!
Great video, so,much stuff going on!
You're kinda relieved.....🚽
WHATS IN THE BOX !!!!
wonder what that line of rocks was placed there for?
What line of rocks and where?
Two troll trains and a rattlesnake
Maybe it was from a salt lake bed.
What's the deal w/the Cooler....? =)
You wont show the Twain weck
FIND KENNY !!!
find what they were firing at and get the lead too mate.
Good afternoon from Southeast South Dakota
Train :)
If your near the salt flats well that dust is highly TOXIC recent test shown.
That's what I was thinkin. Salt flats and/or alkali. Nasty stuff
