This was outstanding and inspirational! I have tried making wire figures before but the proportions were never right. This will help. Thanks!

Sara shares her insights as a wonderful artist and teacher. Having never had an art class, I appreciate learning foundational and basic art concepts from her. AND she is just plain fun...as is Milo!

fantastic, I have watched many tutorials on this but this is by far the clearest one yet. I do not do needle felting I work with polymer clay but this is transferable. Thank you for the fantastic tutorial.

Hi Sara! Great video in every regard! This armature is so simple, wish I could use it for life-size figures! I like how you modified the head structure, too. I can see how much better it would be to fill out the head.
By the way, I finished my Meri doll. She's not perfect, but she really did come out quite good! Got some photos, just need to get a CD to load them up. Send them soon.

You must have very strong fingers... I cannot twist the 16 gage wire with my fingers!!!
    Maybe because mine is galvanized?

  • @Feeoryne

Yes, must be aluminum, NOT galvanized! Very hard to find at the hardware store. I had to order it on line, Blick!

This is harder than it looks! I'm on my second armature because I didn't make the head shape correctly the first time. Advise to everyone: don't skip steps!!!
