Thank you for your tutorials! I am self taught and have taken on some challenging steps. And even though I figured out how to make a doll face, doing it as a human size face, o got lost. Your videos have helped me Immensely. I feel so much more confident after following you. Please keep them coming.
I found this video very helpful, as well as your other videos.Your method of creating shapes (taco, bead, etc ) simplifies the process so much. Thank You !!
Thank you I am learning so much. It was very difficult to see the future as you were building. I have a whole new respect for wool faces. I never knew there was so many steps.. I just kinda thought they were magically sculpted out of a pillowy pear shape. Lol Thank you again for putting this out there. I think I need a reverse needle for my own creases....
I have watched this tutorial several times & keep coming back to it. I need this Face Ace! Seems much easier than trying to roll even pairs of coils & poofs. I'll also be checking out what else you have. I absolutely do have an articulated skull which is for medical studies & not real, and several real animals, birds & even a weird fish one. Oddities but cool to have. I'm new to felting but am in 3 groups, your name & VIDS COME UP OFTEN IN ALL 3! I'll be sharing this face tutorial, I really enjoyed it! Just thought you'd like to know. lol Thank you for sharing your talent!
Wow that was incredible to watch ,learn and take note. I can`t wait to get my face ace and zoolie tool to start practicing and thankyou for teaching us .
I know this video is morbid, but it is a great to to gain knowledge of facial construction. On a lighter note loving watching your videos while I'm in covid-19 lock-down in Sydney Australia.
Thank you for sharing your techniques and all your pearls of wisdom! I appreciate how you show how to make shapes/thinking about shapes for features (and in all of your tutorials!) So helpful with getting the proportions and I think this will be great with making expressions!
Really enjoyed the tutorial. I just love tiny projects even though I’m a beginner. Also love the reference to the wax will definitely be ordering some.
I know the purpose of this video was to introduce the new tool and focused on faces, but I really would love to see you finish these ladies. That fat little fiber fairy makes me so happy just to look at her!
Hello, Love you guys. thank you for what you do. I was just sitting here watching and thinking your dog friend voice comes from under the table where she sits. LOL Just realized she could just be sittin in a chair away from camera. But for years I thought she was under the table hiding from the camera and just wondered why I would think that.
Once again Sara, you hit all the right teaching items for me to improve my skills. I will definitely watch this tutorial again and again. Today I will rip the face off of my current project and try to use your technique for mouth, nose, eyelids and cheekbones. I need to be more aware of pillow placement and firmness. One question though, when you mention “flesh tone”, are you referring to your gnome wool color?
loved the video.. I just can not find the print outs on you web page. I singed up. I have looked in the Tutorials and tools page. However they still allude me.
Loved this tutorial. I’ve not done a face yet and do want to try. Is there a way to make a head and neck separate from the body armature which can be attached later? This would be a great way for me to try without wasting wire if faces are unachievable for me. Your tutorials are so inspiring. They make me think I can do anything. Thank you Sara & Milo.

I have some questions😭 But no one in Iran can answer me, or maybe the don't want to answer 😒🤦♀️ Can I ask you that I should use the original felt or no I can use every type of felt?! Because in Iran we have some felt that they were not really good and they are slipping and something like this 🤦♀️
Hi! Sara generally starts with wrapped shapes that have some give since so much refining will still happen in the face. If everything is stabbed firm there is no room to sculpt as a whole piece. She wraps pretty firmly, and she also stabs a bit more when off camera and not trying to move through a tutorial that doesn't drag on and on with a lot of stabbing. :)
Dont like that tool much and your faces atho proportioned well need to much refinement with this tool. Ears were way to thick and all your needle marks showed seems to me that blending with this tool is way to time consuming.
No I don't have a superior way I'm watching your videos like everyone else. You can give the basics which I appreciate and I know your on a time limit but I did find this tool could have not been used for basically the same effect and your style of felting is so loose it would drive me nuts . Just learning myself and have bought some of your tools and wool so you do make an impact but I'm far from enjoying this demo of this tool. Sorry if you are offended Sara but cant like everything.
@@cindystoldt3476 ok I got the message but are you saying anything nice...... I gave my opinion ....show shoot me you guys in the USA dont need much excuse.
Oh my! You must have no concept of how time consuming felting a face is, regardless of method. Moreover, your comment is unnecessary and unappreciative of the shared skills. Just don't get the tool, and leave it at that. No need to inject negativity.
Wow, this is so methodical! I've been just wingin it, stabsculpting from an oval ball. They look more cartoony compared to yours. Thanks for the lesson! Im gonna go back to your page and choose my purchases out of the 46543 things saved in my favorites niw. lol

It's amazing how similar to polymer clay sculpting it is! I am going to try making it! Thank you for sharing xxx

Thank you for all what you do and share.
I love your videos, and your tools are fantastics.
WOW! I'm new to needlefelting and have just discovered your channel. Super impressed and inspired. You are a true artist.

I have learned so much from your tutorials!
So much helpful information. As a facepainter, I should have a good knowledge of facial structure but it all goes out the window when I'm felting! X
Really enjoyed the tutorial. I just love tiny projects even though I’m a beginner. Also love the reference to the wax will definitely be ordering some.
На моих глазах произошло чудо! Супер-мастер!❤️
That is a good hint about the reverse and the 42.
Great Toturial Sara! Thank you
Wow!!can’t wait do create a doll!!👏🏻❤️⭐️
Love this tool...now I have to try a face 😀

Thanks for all of this information. Your little dog puppet looks just like my antique yorkie dog. SO cute. Are you going to teach how to make him?

Colleen Bigler I’m cracking up I really thought the same thing. It must be from the muppets shows and stuff like that hahah
Well ladies I have to ask, where do you think the person moving the puppet is, because Sara felts while chatting with Milo...
Loved your video so informative , felt I learnt a lot. What armature did you use to make head turn and move? Thank you so much. Pam.
Thank you so much. Very helpful

Super lesson. Do you then fix the surface of the product with some kind of composition so that the wool does not fluff?
I enjoyed watching the video. Where can I buy tools and kit to start practising? I would love to see a complete sculpure
Hi! I'm Brazilian, I'm starting to learn how to felt, I started watching your tutorials. Can you felt on fabric, clothes and towels? Thank you ☺️

When you showed the face at about 22 minutes ... was that a mermaid? Is there a tutorial for her? Many thanks if you can find the time for a reply.
Please could you tell me where I can buy the wooden tool for making folds, regards Wendy
You can buy it at sarafinafiberart.com under tools, it’s called the face ace.
I use free take out chopsticks as a tool to do the same thing. 😊
Where do get the wood tool?
Why was this felted sooo soft. Is it eventually felted harder?

Nome e cognome italiani, ma parla in inglese. Almeno sottotitoli in italiano. Sarebbe molto utile e gradito. Grazie.
