    Your Stabbit Wabbit is the absolute best felting surface! Also your needles are better than any others I've found. I've been felting for a little while, but things feel better now that I've discovered your stuff. I'm so happy!!! Thank you!!

    Although the video was produced some time ago, I believe this is the best one out there! Not only do you explain everything carefully to true beginners (Such as me...) but you don't waste time with lengthy demonstrations. You demonstrate exactly what one needs to know. Thank you; I have placed my first order with you and am waiting anxiously to begin. (I was disappointed that I couldn't buy either of the Tool Kits due to being out of stock, but I think I got what I needed to start). I have a feeling I'll be a frequent shopper.

    I didn’t have a needle holder so I just made one out of very very firm needle felted teardrop shape, it seems to work just fine and it feels really nice in your hand. Also I feel like having some arm and finger and booty exercises can really help muscle soreness and cramps.

    Hi I'm really enjoying your videos and really want to give felting a try! My only worry is that the things I make won't last long. How long do felt sculptures last? It's a natural fibre so I'm guessing they fall apart after few years? Thanks x

    Good information about the basics. I have made dryer balls that were felted with Xmas decorations. I am now making a knit felted tote bag. I want to put the flag of New Mexico on the side.Any advice for making a flat design on a bag? I will felt the bag first since it will shrink more in length so I think it would distort the flag design. So want to try needle felting the flag onto the bag. Thanks, Mary

    I enjoyed the tutorial, but there were a few words or terms used that I could not understand what was being said or understood. I guess they will be talked about again later. The one thing is the very last tool that looked like a wooden stick. I couldn't tell what she said. Also was it vat or bat? Also, the tool that held three needles and had a pink handle was called clover?

    • @belinda3048
      @belinda3048 7 лет назад

      Karan Nixon clover is the brand name. The tool has three needles with a pink handle. This makes it quicker to felt the wool. Hope this helps. I'm new to it too, so my explanation might not be very precise.

    • @RavenStealstheNight
      @RavenStealstheNight 7 лет назад

      Karan Nixon, the wooden pencil/paddle like tool Sara talks about is her Zuli creation. It's a tool that helps the to create shapes (it can keep sizing to be consistent) and it can even be used to measure swaths of wool. The pink pencil needle tool is a collection of 3 barbed felting needles, the green one is the same kind of tool, but contains 5 needles and is used to cover a larger area than just using a single needle...which would take ages. As for the felting surface...Sara (Stabbit wabbit) uses a rice filled burlap bag-like structure that helps you to felt the item you are working on. I've seen other artists use a wide brush/bristle like form and also a sponge like form to actually felt on. I've even seen some people use Styrofoam...although, if be afraid what this will do to one's needles. I hope this helps. On Sara's website, you'll find explanations and tutorials for the other methods and other tools she uses. Good luck.

      Your reply is fine. I still haven't gotten around to trying the felting. I received some inexpensive supplies, but have been busy outside. In Alaska our summers are short so we have to take advantage of every day. I will start in the late fall or early winter which will be about October. Hopefully we will have a hard winter so I will stay indoors more!

    Don't you find that the needles break more easily on the rice filled cushion.?? If so what else could it be filled with?

    • @Gasp7000
      @Gasp7000 5 лет назад +1

      marilyn woodrow: I wonder if fine sand would work? Miniature fabric strawberries filled with sand is using for needle sharpening and I made pin cushions filled with sand when I was a girl. Seems worth trying?

    I ordered a so-called starter pack for sleepy mice. All it contained was wool and a card claiming there are instructions on the website. However, none of the videos give step by step instructions specifically for sleepy mice. No tools. No instructions. Waste of time and money. Other tube instructions are much much better.
