The whole concept of looking at things from an ant's perspective and applying cinema tools like camera movement, slo-mo, shallow and deep focus etc mixed with CG to bring about a superhero action film is one that excites me in a very different way. I mean, look that shot when he transforms into Ant-Man in this.. just absolutely love how we go from casually looking at things like the tub, drainhole, plug and curtains, to now looking at them forming this huge gigantic surrounding that are literally 'belittling' him. Truly a unique experience.

Honestly my most favorite scene when the hero first suits up....the music when he stares in the mirror...goodness he had NO CLUE what his future was in store for....he was always a very important character in the Avengers comics...but the way they implemented him into the MCU...and now for him to finally be a big piece (Quantum Realm) in the puzzle and to be a official Avenger AMAZING!!! Ant-Man 🐜 🙌🏽🖖🏽🙏🏽
Yeah, it's a definite change to the character, having hank pym be the mentor/teacher instead of the hero and I think it's executed great, paul rudd is also a great actor
@@callumjones9664 people also tend to forget that if you start from the beginning in chronologically order...it was Captain America 1940s,Ant-Man (Pym) and the Wasp (Janet) 1970s, Captain Marvel late 80s-early 90s, then Ironman 08, and so on they never add them which is very overlooked...it also happens in the comics (pym mentors Scott) but he’s not as old...I love the fact that he’s older more wise...

Well, Edgar Wright supposed to direct the ant man trilogy. He wrote the original script from way back before or after the success of phase 1 but because of studio interfering his project by making a new script without him knowing, that leads to him leaving the project. The first Ant man movie's screen writer was Mr. WRIGHT who made it successful in the box office.
Man, I wish we see his full vision of the character.
This is why having the film's action sequences be entirely in the Quantum Realm is a bummer.

It’s like they party everyday or something right after Scott got fired from BR he was heading upstairs and these teenagers or young adults where having a party in the middle of the day again. Yea bro their really committed but meh when you live an apartment there’s always people like them throwing parties I’ve been through this at our old apartment we lived in. Also on a side note I would love to go to this party even though I hate parties but I’d go the same way Scott went but not leave until the party is over and try to take a peek at the ladies 😂.

This is one hell of a movie... One of the best marvel movies.. But gets slept on..
Haha the weight distribution thing is so inconsistent.
He should have sunk in that water rather than be pushed around/float on it
We see him shatter the bathroom tile so we assume he is his normal weight just shrunken down as the movie had explained
Then people dont react to having a 75kg+ man stepping on their toes
He then gets sucked into a vaccum (No way would it be able to suck up something weighing that much)
And then at the end he makes a dent in a metal car, so we assume again that he has been the heavier weight the whole time.

the cinematography here is so great like the moment of scot first shrinking down and falling in to the bathtub is one shot and actually raises tension while also being funny. Compare it to M-She-U now, where there is a million cuts per second. This is the best of the antman movies. The fight scenes are also so well choreographed and shot.
edit: Guardians of the Galaxy was the sole exceptions. To my surprise it featured insanely good choreographed and shot scenes, it even featured a 1 cut scene.
