    When do you repot them into a bonsai pot? Do you keep them growing strong in a normal pot until you get them to the shape you prefer?
    The holly are looking really cool! Very proportional 👍🏻

      I guess there isn't really a set period to transplant them from nursery containers to bonsai pots. If the nursery pot is bigger, the plant usually grows faster and can theoretically develop faster. For me, I didn't want to risk doing a major re pot in the middle of the season, and I also just don't have very many bonsai pots, lol. Sadly these trees have died, and moving to college, most of my trees have been planted in the ground to develop for the next few years. I'm excited to see how they are doing once I'm back home!

    can i do a plant anytime of the season indoors

      I think It really depends on the species. If it's an indoor tree, I'm assuming it's a ficus of somesort? It really depends on the health of the tree. I would allow the tree to grow for sometime before trimming. And even though it's probably less evident, indoor door trees still have a dormancy period, so I'd keep that in mind before doing anything major. Good luck!
