An $8 Milwaukee m12 battery is a win any day my friend. You continue to grow your knowledge and from when you first started just as I, well we have come a long way and the sky is the limit my brother. Onward and upward Doc🤛
Thank you once again brother. I never did your requested one yet the makita 21700 18v but I haven't forgotten.
@@doctorlefthandthread hey bud I was just bullshitting around but if you’re willing I’ll definitely watch😂
@@IMPACT-NATION I am seriously thinking about doing it. I don't know if it would interest everyone but that would not stop me .
Imo its only cost effective if*
The battery you want to make isnt sold by the oem ( e.g. high power/high capacity)
You're using reclaimed cells
Thats goes for repair or from scratch, new cells are just too expensive unless you can buy in bulk for a good price which most people cant
Ive repaired quite a few batteries for beer money by sacrificing 1 or 2 for donors for the other packs ( the donors also had dropped cells)
Well isn’t this great. I found out recently I’m more Scottish than anything else (American from the mid-west) and I’m about to get into a damaged m12 pack. Beautiful. 😂
I’m sorry if you’re not Scottish but to my ear that’s what I’d guess. Great video regardless. 💪🏼
Brandon I am Irish however being called Scottish is no insult. We use some of the same slang sometimes. I am fond of the Scots then are like our long lost cousins.
I thought I could tell the difference clearly I don’t know Jack. I guess I should’ve known You weren’t Scottish I could actually understand what you were saying lol!
Og course you should do it. I recently did a 10.8V deWalt in a similar manner 😊
Thanks for the walkthrough.
You are welcome I always think of these videos as entertainment and for sharing info great to see someone it helped too
deadly video, have you get a link for the store you buy the cells on
I repurposed the cells from a battery with faulty electronics here is a link to 25r cells which would give you a 2.5ah battery, however they are expensive to buy this way. If you go to the likes of lidl you could buy a parkside 2ah battery for 17.99 and repurpose 3 of the cells. But please be careful cross connection is a big risk with these smaller batteries there is no extra room in the casing.
The sad thing is that the welds you put on your batteries are stronger than some that you reclaim.
I've taken some apart you could almost use a pair of tweezers to remove the strips and they were from name brand companies.
I've reclaimed cells from old laptops for power banks that were terrible
They do vary the knock off ones are terrible
That's awesome brother 🙌 id love to try and fit some Samsung 21700 cells in it 😂 seems like the bosh was a bit easier hu?
The bosch was a breeze That PCB nearly screwed me lol
@@doctorlefthandthread lmao
@@TacticalThib good idea with the 21700 it had crossed my mind but the battery box would need to be adapted somehow. Maybe the the 6 cell box but use 3 21700 30T cells instead of 6 18650.
@@doctorlefthandthread now we're talking doc!!! This is something everyone wants a true high output battery for the M12 FUEL TOOLS!!!!?
@@TacticalThib I thought I was done with battery builds it looks like I may have to do 2 more 😅 21700 30T here we come
link to the kit. did you let he kit maker know of their fault pcb?
does the board do both bms and cell balancing? and the charger just supply cv ?
No I didn't mention the issue to the supplier I don't know if it balances the cells the genuine ones can even fall out of balance

Where did you purchase the case?
Ebay had to wait a few weeks for it
i say its worth it if your using premium batteries as you know whats going into your tool rsther than some knockoff batteries.
Good point
