This technique, this project, is my furniture refinishing goal. I can't express strongly enough how gorgeous this piece is. It looks as though the dresser is covered with the finest silk damask. I'm obsessed. You're a faux finish wizard.
Just gorgeous! I'm just a little confused about the colours: is the base colour the duck you mentioned? It's not on the list. And then the texture is the moonsine metallic + sea spray? And where does the silver bullet come in? Sorry, the info is spread out and kind of hard to follow. But I just love your design aesthetic; so elegant and lovely!
Hello! Gorgeous work! I want to paint a dark purple dresser with metallic gold mudcloth stencil. What product would you use for the metallic gold? Thx and keep up the great work!
@@BrushedbyBrandy thank you! I wondered if it could be used for that! Is it OK to use top coat over it? Pls msg me any videos you may have used this technique on. Thx!
So, if I don’t have DB products but I do have metallic paint, is there another product on the market comparable to the sea spray to add to the paint? Another question, why don’t yiu store your paint in FIFO bottles? Your DB containers always look pretty crusty.
Love this look going to do this on my 40,s wardrobe, love the prima stuff moulds etc but costs over100$ for postage so out of reach watching in bed from britain x
Hi, your work is beautiful! I have a question... I'm very tight on money so I can't buy the items needed for a raised stencil, but I do have a new container of patching plaster and some corn starch. If I mixed the two together, can I use it to make the paste for a raised stencil? Thanks a million, Renee
You absolutely can. Just use a very little bit of corn starch. Let it dry over night and lightly sand with 220 grit sandpaper. Do kot use an orbital sander because it is to aggressive. Hope this helps 🙏!
Brandy you keep saying MY kids, My house when you husband is right there. It should be our kids our house... Just be grateful he is such a great guy, some women would love to have a husband who is funny, helpful, and is supportive.
A good idea is instead of scraping out the rest of your metallic paint use it to mix your final paint for your piece of furniture. Just an idea. That’s what I do.
Gee I'm glad that your husband can laugh about your cooking skills in your house cleaning skills. That is one awesome man.

If you can do this, raise kids, cook, clean and be married...you ARE a hero. I love your work and your spirit.
You two are so much fun! And thanks for not making me feel bad about my house cleaning and cooking skills! You’re so talented!
I love that you and your husband do this together and laugh together
Karen Moody I don’t. Basically I feel he is rude and trying to steal his very talented wife’s thunder
Gorgeous! You really are so talented Brandi. I could watch you paint all day lol 💎
I'm so critical of stuff like this..but I really like what you've done here Brandy. I also LOVE that chair in the back!

I wonder if goo gone would clean the stencil
what was it you talked about that you used inside to take the old smell out of the dresser??
dixie belle big mommas butta in orange grove
What was it that you put inside the drawer for scent?? I love the raised design. You’ll have to do more of it.

Very pretty....you forgot to mention the product used to neutralize the odor in the drawers.
I did! I love dixie belle big mommas butta in orange grove
Brushed by Brandy ..okay thanks, listening skills are not as good as painting. Lol take care.

How long will the texture product stay soft in the closed container?
Do you ever have a problem with it bleeding under the stencil
If the piece is a bleeder, you'd want to make sure it is sealed underneath with a stain blocking primer
Omygoodness. Incredible.!!!

...look for alternative options online...sometimes you can make it yourself too

Oh Brandy, he's a funny guy. Isn't he? LOL
I think the Sea Spray is a very fine Plaster of Paris.

Oops Gary made the same comment. LOL.
Love your work! Came out beautiful, but stencils not Deco. More Victorian. Deco lines are more sleek and curved.
Hey gal what brand is that stencil? ❤️

I was too impatient to sit through this. I am sure it could be edited down! I like the idea though
This was recorded from a live video, I also do weekly edited videos if you prefer a different format
Beautiful dresser--but I really the original key holes--just my opinion!!

It's a live video, they get reallyyyyyy boring without talking
