    Gee I'm glad that your husband can laugh about your cooking skills in your house cleaning skills. That is one awesome man.

    This technique, this project, is my furniture refinishing goal. I can't express strongly enough how gorgeous this piece is. It looks as though the dresser is covered with the finest silk damask. I'm obsessed. You're a faux finish wizard.

    Just gorgeous! I'm just a little confused about the colours: is the base colour the duck you mentioned? It's not on the list. And then the texture is the moonsine metallic + sea spray? And where does the silver bullet come in? Sorry, the info is spread out and kind of hard to follow. But I just love your design aesthetic; so elegant and lovely!

    So, if I don’t have DB products but I do have metallic paint, is there another product on the market comparable to the sea spray to add to the paint? Another question, why don’t yiu store your paint in FIFO bottles? Your DB containers always look pretty crusty.

  • @missrose9164

    Do you ever have a problem with it bleeding under the stencil

    • @BrushedbyBrandy
      @BrushedbyBrandy  3 года назад

      If the piece is a bleeder, you'd want to make sure it is sealed underneath with a stain blocking primer

    Hi, your work is beautiful! I have a question... I'm very tight on money so I can't buy the items needed for a raised stencil, but I do have a new container of patching plaster and some corn starch. If I mixed the two together, can I use it to make the paste for a raised stencil? Thanks a million,
    Renee

    • @kayeyeager8006
      @kayeyeager8006 4 года назад +1

      You absolutely can. Just use a very little bit of corn starch. Let it dry over night and lightly sand with 220 grit sandpaper. Do kot use an orbital sander because it is to aggressive. Hope this helps 🙏!

    A good idea is instead of scraping out the rest of your metallic paint use it to mix your final paint for your piece of furniture. Just an idea. That’s what I do.
