I think this is beautiful! I've noticed in so many ways people are sometimes unkind in their comments. I'm from the generation of 'if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything!' There is a kinder way to say 'I don't like it'... BUT how could anyone not like your work. You are PRO!
Brandy, listening to your video, I agree with what you are saying. People might not like the colors you are using and they might say they don't "like" it. I think maybe they are not saying what they mean sometimes. They shouldn't really say anything negative at all, after all, it is your design. They can do what they want with their pieces. I LOVE what you do, colors, techniques and all. I've learned tons by listening to you... You are truly an artist!!! Don't listen to the haters...they are just jealous......!!
Got to be the prettiest piece I have seen done !! My favorite style of furniture and if I could afford it , it would be mine !! Love it my friend !! ❤❤❤🙂
I would never leave a negative or less than polite comment on anyone’s work. I love French provincial furniture and the bowed front of this piece is beautiful. The colors you chose, your blending are superb…the addition of the moulds knocked it out of the park. I’ve also commented on the finished piece on your Facebook page. Since you asked you don’t mind hearing comments on what someone would do differently as it may inspire you for future pieces, in my humble opinion the addition of the transfers was just too much. It took away from the beautiful paint colors and the beautiful application of the paint across the front of this awesome sideboard. That’s all…thank you for what you do!
I agree with you speaking up about negative comments, you guys put yourself out there- live and in person, to help & show us techniques, I would guess anyone posting something negative would never have the guts to do that! Even if something is not my style, I still enjoy to watch and learn. I have been watching you and CrysDawna, and a couple others for a couple years and its been so helpful. You have given me confidence to give some pieces a try (for personal use). I even went to the work shop in Ontario, Ca and got to meet both of you. Keep up the good work, for every one of the negative Nancy's out there, there's 1000 of us that are grateful for what you are doing!!
Surprised to know you are from Santa Rosa. I am too. Have a daughter and granddaughters still there. Love your work and enjoy the bantering with your husband. Charish every moment you have together. Lost my husband of 59 years to Covid in October. Bless you and yours. I fall asleep most nights watching you on RUclips.
Absolutely love this piece and the colors you chose! I love earth tones. Now I'm thinking of doing these colors in my bedroom on my bed and dressers I have to build. Always enjoy watching you and listening to your hubby. You guys are funny. lol
I am in complete agreement on the negative comments! It is so discouraging and completely unnecessary! Not everyone will love every piece and that’s okay. It’s not okay to be critical of an artists’ piece just because you don’t like the colors, design, etc. It seems folks are forgetting lessons learned in kindergarten! If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all! Mean people stink! Btw.... you are completely amazing! Everything you make, I love so much! You are inspiring and uplifting! Thank you for sharing your talent!
I can't imagine anyone being negative about anything you do, you are amazing! There may be a color I'm not fond of but your technique is always amazing and your creativity is the best I've ever seen! Keep up the great work and I'm so glad to see new posts on RUclips! Thank you so much for sharing all that you do!
I think your designs are spectacular! Everyone has an opinion sitting behind their phone. I am blessed that you share with us your designs on your projects. Keep them coming. Thanks
As a fellow furniture artist I agree with what you are saying not everyone is going to like a certain piece and will always seem to have an opinion but wouldn't it be boring if we all liked the same thing !! That's why its called creativity for a reason if people don't like a piece, i agree with Amanda don't say anything at all move on !! For the ones that don't appreciate it there will be others that will. We cannot please everyone and nor should we. The work you do is phenomenal its all about the creativity and that's that. This piece looks amazing to me, love your use of soft colors. My sister-in-law says you are the best. Thanks Cheryl, you are right. And Cheryl LOVES Outlander too.
Brandy I have been watching videos of painting furniture for several months now. I have some really nice pieces of furniture that I want to paint…. I still cannot make up my mind what colors to use ‼️🤣 I like so many things! You take some really big chances on your pieces that I could not do…. Your pieces turn out so beautiful. Thank you for your art!
I think your piece is gorgeous. We each are unique and have different visions for a piece, and that's what's so cool about yours and others sharing tutorials etc. I get a lot of motivation from watching other artisans and sometimes when I'm stuck, looking at others work inspires me and gives me new ideas to try. Looks gorgeous and your blending is so perfect!
The simplicity in which you reflect your creativity is incredible ... Thanks for sharing your time, knowledge, inspirations and also your valuable comments. Stupid comments are just that: smaller, poor among themselves. Nothing than human beings without better skills to share;) And you can do much better. Congrats!
Totally agree with your words of wisdom in this segment. Hopefully it will help. Thank you for your creativity and artistic flair as your pieces are always beautiful. I love watching your videos and learn something new and valuable in every session. Also enjoy the friendly banter between you and Sean. Many thanks for sharing your talents and techniques with all of us. You are by far my favorite Dixie Belle artisan to watch.
Wow, you make this look easy...but I am afraid to try this. Newbee, just going through and binge watching. I have painted for 40 years but nothing like this. Looks fun and yet scary! Gorgeous work.
I agree with your “lecture”, people today hide in their homes and behind their electronic devices and throw out negativity into the world and it is bad energy for everyone. My Mother used to say “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all”. I love your work. You are a very sharing team; you and your husband are fun to watch and listen to. I appreciate what I have learned from you and you are excellent ambassadors for a great product; Dixie Belle. Keep being a positive, artistic force! This piece is gorgeous. Where did you get your little caster seat? That would save me - my knees are aging and the up/down kills me.
I dont mean to be off topic but does anybody know of a method to get back into an instagram account..? I was stupid lost the password. I love any help you can offer me.
Your mother and mine are of the same mind, my momma says the same thing. I have debated starting a channel, but I have seen the troll comments and don’t know if I could handle it. I don’t understand just being hateful.
Brandi, I really appreciate the depth of detail you go to .... to show each and every step of these beautiful painted pieces. You have a gift and it just awesome you share with those of us trying to learn.... how to blend and layer and use the products. Sean is just the best. What a sweet, funny supportive guy. My question is... do you have family to watch the kids??? Great job!
Thank you!! They have learned this is part of our routine. They usually are inside the house or out playing, sometimes will come into the garage quietly. It took a long time for them to understand, but they know to access us quietly if needed

I'm just watching this video omg you guys are hilarious I for one wouldn't mind Jason Momoa even if he's lying on a Walmart rug lol. as for those with negatively on your work your work is absolutely amazing I couldn't criticize you cause I can't paint furniture but I do paint on canvas and I'm my worst critic
I absolutely LOVE these colors you are using!!!!! They are just what I would need to do a piece I'm getting ready to start for my son and daughter in law for their dining room. I use a different brand and all IOD molds and transfers. It's gorgeous!!!
Great video. Love the dresser and color choices. I don’t see a link for the mold and polymer product you used for the roses. I will consider using the links to Dixie Belle next time I buy from them. Thanks for that reminder. Gosh, would love to attend a conference. Is it only for representatives/sellers? Or can regular artists attend to learn?
11 mo ago you said you used amazing resin. It’s a blue box. Q: where can I find amazing resin? I thought molds were made with clay? My apologies but I want to do what you did in that video. You’re such a great teacher. ❤️ you and Sean together!😋
The piece is just so so beautiful, i am just blown over by your outcome. You just inspired me to pick up a brush and paint. What material do you use to make your molds and what adhesive do you use to stick them.
I am amazed to watch you paint. Especially blending. Did it come naturally to you? Or how did you practice to become such a master? I watch your videos over and over, hoping your technique will, come more natural to me. I’d love tips on how you started. I just recently found your site. I have watched many of your videos. I lived in Santa Rosa for about a year, so cool! I went to the Peanuts museum. Brandy, I love your work! I'm wondering how much you sold this particular piece for, and what part of the furniture do you use to brand it?
When you do larger pieces I noticed you use the darker color ( this piece) Savanah Mist) primarily on the top blending into the other colors, versus when you paint the drawers you tend to use all 3. Just asking for future reference. Thank you.
So if you could show something with gray & beige? Still pretty scared of color & have a 5 piece 1970 yellow set that I need to really bring into this decade that I want to use- bot want to keep it pretty neutral

I'm going to do this design on a same piece.the previous owner has painted it with cream color latex paint. I tried scuff sanding it and now I'm not sure what to do because it's coming off in little rolls. I think it's part laminate under. How should I deal with getting the brush marks out of the piece and not go through too much work that's not needed? I have boss clear I have to use also.
Latex floors have a tendency to peel, why it's not ideal for furniture. Your new finish is only as good as its base so you need to removed any peeling paint before. I its laminate, sanding would be your only options, can't use a stripper

I think your amazing. What a beautiful tasteful job!!!
beautiful work as always!!! Can you blend the silk paints??? and do you ever spray???
All in one style paints are not the best for blending, I prefer chalky styles. I do mostly multi color finishes but spray metallics and clear coats
Love the look. Actually every color are my colors. However for me I would have switched the placement from the blueish and grayish.. But awesome look.

Do you paint directly on the resin mold? No primer on them? Mine tends to not stick. Thanks.
I rarely prime moulds unless they will be aggressively glazed or something like that

Hi Brandy, I'd like to get the stencil that you use on this piece but I don't know the name or who makes it. Please help!

Latex floors have a tendency to peel, why it's not ideal for furniture. Your new finish is only as good as its base so you need to removed any peeling paint before. I its laminate, sanding would be your only options, can't use a stripper
