Thank you so much for this beautiful video! It's kind of funny to watch it now, almost a whole year later, at this point in time of the pandemic and hear you guys talk about toilet paper. I hope you had enough for your whole family during the TP drought! ;) Also, I love your husband's (I'm assuming he's your camera guy) support. That's so wonderful
I love this piece! I’m getting ready to decoupage a nightstand, and this video is very helpful. Your husband asks really great questions. You two are a lovely team.
@@BrushedbyBrandy thank you. What a beautiful piece. I love how you incorporated the red on the drawers. I enjoy your videos so much and love the banter between you and your husband.
Your eye for design amazes me. how did you come up with the molding design? I just finished painting an antique secretary desk with patriotic colors, the idea sounded so cool but now I cant decide where to stencil the white stars.
I’m curious as to how it will turn out. It appears you have like a Victorian molding with a vintage country girl. Hmm! You are very good at what you do. A suggestion you could use the same gilding you did on top drawer molding around the female image then add some red like you did in the center molding. It would tie it all together
Should I allow the tissue paper to dry , before I put top coat one it ?and is that also the recipe for using the paper napkins ? I recently had a major fail where the napkin roses turned to jelly, lifted , and sucked in ALOT of air under ... Never had such a terrible result lolol rub on transfers over top once dry , saved the day ! I've had a terrible time locating real decopage papers , I've found a few but not w the large florals I'm looking for
@@BrushedbyBrandy I'm enchanted with the final work. Wouldn't an entire coordinated set of bedroom furniture be nice? Maybe when you discuss the business aspects you could tell us how you price these gems.
Do you ever use like Saran Wrap or cling wrap to help smooth it out the decoupage? Also when you are detail painting are just pretty much skimming the surface and not going deep down into the detail? Then using the wax to fill in the rest that isn’t painted? Sorry I’m so new to this but so addicted already! Love your work!
thanks for this video..what method do you use for uneven surfaces? I have a desk with grooves on the drawers and am sceptical as to if it will turn out well.I want to decoupage it with fabric. Thanks
Can I use gatorhide to do this ? I bought some gold leafing off amazon a week ago and have been trying to attach with gatorhide ... its proving to be VERY irritating 🙄🤔
You probably need the gilding/leafing adhesive specifically and could go over it w a top coat of gatorhide when everything is done. Gatorhide will probably never work w gold leafing. Leafing is finicky anyway and you need something w a lot of tack to it
@@BrushedbyBrandy Wow, that's gorgeous! Thanks for sending the pics. I couldn't find them anywhere. Your work is stunning. Pardon my dismay. But, it was like watching a movie or reading a book without an ending. I just started watching your channel and subscribed. You are an inspiration. I have a few pieces I'd like to finish and your step by step instructions are brilliant. Thanks again for responding. It's rare on RUclips. Keep up the good work. Cheers, Linda ✌️

Wow, I'm blown away by this design! You'v e got a great creative eye. Honestly, the "Lady" paper was my least favorite of all the designs; BUT, after completing the color detail, you nailed it!
This piece is AMAZING !!! Love the tissue paper and gilding wax. It really sets this piece off. Thanks for another great video !!
The finished piece was really pretty

Great tip re wallpaper paste . Thankyou Brandy. Your work is amazing . Love to you from England. Stay safe ❤️
Thank you for the brayer tip.....I would never have thought of it.
I know I'll never buy a Dixie Bell product after hearing this. Good for you & good luck. You are extremely talented & it's their loss.

Yes I don't like using napkins I love the thicker paper also
I would have been tempted to cut out around her hat.is that ok or asking for problems? Love your work and tutorial style...very understandable.
There are so many ways you could use this image, around her hat is definitely an option

Generally your professionalism is high quality without “help”
Does the gilding wax wear off like regular wax and do you need to reapply it from time to time?

Does the gloss surface on most posters and wrapping paper cause any issues or need any specific treatment
I've never seen any issues with a glossy paper
Great look. Is the image uv proof?
It would be subject to fading, would not recommend this for outdoors
Will you talk about ALL paint brands?
I use dixie belle, after trying mist, its just what works best for my painting style so I stuck with it and know it best
Hi. Want to ask if this type.of decoupage be done on glass? Any tips or advice.
What type of glass? What type of use will it get?
TP for life!!
