Wow. This is very cool. I don’t have money for this kind of thing but enjoyed watching. I am trying to flip furniture so sometimes I do have to get pieces that take time to refurb. Would be nice not to have to do that but at the same time, don’t want pieces to end up in the land field. Thanks for sharing your talents!
Never knew you could do something other than sand. I can't believe you got this from a field!! Jealous! I love the finish. Thank you 😊 for all you do and share.
Love this, I am a furniture artist as well but I am not a good teacher like you are, you are wonderful at details. I paint with wise owl paint and love it.
Brandy & Sean God bless you for this!!!! I have a dresser that I tried to take the paint off and it backfired on me. It has details on it & I wasn't able to get all of the stripper out of the crevices. It's been sitting in my garage for months. Now I have a way to fix it. Thank you for all you do for us diyers!!
Good Evening from Texas! Can you tell me the name of the gun? I just bought a Soda Blaster from Harbor freight that was $150.00 comes w/ a cannister and looks pretty complicated. I need KISS equipment and I do have an air compressor.
Love this idea!!! So just out of curiosity- as far as your operating cost for the sand blasting how does it compare to chemical stripper/sanding? I am losing my mind stripping an identical buffet to this and I need options lol!
I. MUST. HAVE. THIS. I just finished a Victorian dresser and it was painful to get it completely stripped. Never again! Thank you for this! (Oh Honey... let me tell you what I want for Christmas!)

My Mother in law gave me an old Singer sewing machine to refinish for her😢..it's in good shape but the finish is just a pain to get off..BUUUUUT I have a Harbour Freight nearby and will be trying the Soda Blasting to remove the finish...OK ok OK so I'm lazy and I don't want to sand all of the nooks and crannies etc..I was about to throw in the towel❤
#brushedbybrandy I’m so glad I finally got to watch this video. Wheels turning... since you’re the queen of blending, have you ever done a blended white wash. Three combos come to mind... 1) temptress teal, bayou moss, denim 2) white magic, temptress teal or 3) white magic, up in smoke? I may have to experiment with this soon.

Did you decide to white wash because you had to use a filler in the chipped bits because it’s a white filler ? Or just because you think whitewash is the look you wanted ? Hello from Australia 🇦🇺
people think soda blasting is something new, but that's not true. soda blasting was already done in the years 70's/80's and 90's, only today's manufacturers make people think it's something new, but it's been around since the early 70's.

what compressor are you using? what is the scfm?

I would love to know what compressor to buy for the Harbor Freight soda blaster…?
Love this, I am a furniture artist as well but I am not a good teacher like you are, you are wonderful at details. I paint with wise owl paint and love it.
My favorite piece so far!! It is STUNNING!!! ❤️
What did it look like after it was all done?
Watching from Alaska. Love watching what you can do with furniture.
Thank you!
I watch this video that afternoon I went out and bought a soda blaster thank you so much I’d like to send you the picture of the piece that I’m doing

To me, your piece you found in the barn, is the most gorgeous piece I have seen. I would love to see it finished. Want!!!!!

What a beautiful piece of furniture, I really love the white wash finish you are doing.
That piece is stunning. What a find. Love the idea of soda blasting. Love this channel xx
That piece is absolutely gorgeous. Love it
Thanks for info on soda blasting!!! Beautiful pasture find!!!
Wow! I have never heard of soda blasting. Thank you for sharing. I will have to try it.
White paint can discolor over raw wood, would need a barrier of dixie belle boss
excuse me, but I think I have seen this exact video before? I love your artistic videos, you are truly talented.
So pretty!!!can hardly wait to see what you do with it! 👋 from NC
Hello! I’m from Texas, but on vacation watching from Florida! 🤗
Good Evening from Texas! Can you tell me the name of the gun? I just bought a Soda Blaster from Harbor freight that was $150.00 comes w/ a cannister and looks pretty complicated. I need KISS equipment and I do have an air compressor.
What happens with a darker water base paint on raw wood? Can you get/see discoloration?
Love this idea!!! So just out of curiosity- as far as your operating cost for the sand blasting how does it compare to chemical stripper/sanding? I am losing my mind stripping an identical buffet to this and I need options lol!
The soda is reusable. I would still strip/sand as much as possible and just use this on intricate details
I. MUST. HAVE. THIS. I just finished a Victorian dresser and it was painful to get it completely stripped. Never again! Thank you for this! (Oh Honey... let me tell you what I want for Christmas!)
Ooooh, you're gonna love it!
Amazed about how much baking soda can do
Do you know how to tape off sections while soda blasting?
That is a beautiful buffet!
For soda blasting all you need is an air compressor, soda, and a hose/nozzle piece, correct? Does the air compressor need to be a specific size?
You need a gun with a hopper, compressor size depends on the gun psi requirements
THAT IS AWESOME. I love the soda blaster..
Such a great tool
@brushedbybrandy. Can you clear coat over wax?
What is the difference between house hold baking soda to the soda you are using in the blaster?
Nothing, except the volume you can buy it in, commercial size
@@BrushedbyBrandy thank you!

How did you decide to go with white stain, rather then a clear wax, or brown stain?
I wanted to keep it light
What size air compressor do you use for this soda blaster?
Depends on the psi of your gun, ours is 22 gallon
What compressor did you use?
@@kittyconroy8184 it can vary by the psi of your gun, but I have a 22 gallon dewalt
That is a gorgeous piece!
Thank you!
Thank you for this video. It's fantastic and environmentally friendly is important to me too. Incredible. Love this so much....Thank you! Thank you!
Yes, that is a great benefit!
How much air pressure do you use
The gun will tell you what psi is needed, ost require a large compressor
What compressor are you using? I see some guns needs 12cfm at 90psi and they're sooooo expensive.
You do need a larger compressor. Mine is a 22 gallon dewalt
Which soda blasting takeoff paint also
Yes, it will, bit id strip chemically first and get off as much as you can beforehand
Can’t you stain match the 3 small areas you patched to match the veneer color and then apply the white gel stain to help camouflage the repairs?
Here is final finish
instagram.com/p/CEugIJUFzbk/?igshid=x8b33mg292ae
It’s beautiful!
DId the soda blaster harm the veneer?
No, it is very fine and not over concentrated in one area
I want to buy the Surfprep sander using your link. Can you give me a good vacuum to buy that I can attach to the Surf Prep? I'm not sure what kind to buy.
I use a Dewalt shop vac from Costco, most any model shop vac will work, at least a 5 gallon is recommended
I couldn’t find the finished project on social media :(

Does the white no pain gel stain stop yellowing?
Can use over clear boss on some woods
❤Amazing!!!

I ship nationwide

I think I have a piece from the front of a leg like that - sometimes I've saved parts and pieces of vintage pieces that were not used.
Thats a great idea, I always save excess pieces too

You can use gel stain on veneer as well, veneer us still real wood, unless you are meaning laminate??
hi love you from london uk
Hi Brandy. 😊
It would have been nice to see the front being blasted.
I sanded as much as possible, only used the blaster on fine details

ridiculous to leave this unfinished so we cant see how it turned out!
