    Hi Everyone,
In this demonstration I am sharing how to paint full of light urban landscape. In full demo I am teaching how to use water and paint in your mixtures and how to achieve desired tonal value. We do value study before the main painting. I explain how to achieve a seamless wash in a uniform tonal value - great practice before moving on to full color.

Beautiful Nina. I did buy one of their needle liners. I love it.

Thank you Adam! Yes, Needle is great, I got #12 and it has such a good variation from pin-stripe to 5-7mm line depending on how much you press on it...and the synthetic bit in the middle has a good spring, it's perfect. I find it very similar to NEEF needle brush, but NEEF goes only up to size 10.

@@nvfineartstudio7296 I haven’t tried a needle before now. It’s a very versatile brush, especially for landscapes.

When watching a demo it is really helpful if an on-screen image of the source material is present (photo or sketch). If it is not there then I find it hard to see what line of interpretation the artist is following. Nice painting though.

Thank you! But I would encourage to be more observant about the tonal values and shift in temperature of the mixture (the shadow on the tower for example, it's cooler at the top and warmer at the bottom, the mix looks runny, forms a bid, looks like middle tonal value, etc) rather than what we are actually painting. I can paint an imaginary landscape without any reference and it will look realistic with depth and atmosphere. This is because I know how to treat background, middle ground and foreground in regards to tonal values, temperature shifts, variation of edges. I'm not actually "interpreting" as such. Hope this helps!

Great artwork! Do you teach to paint in this style digitally?

Thank you! No, just in watercolor. But the theory is the same in regards to color/temperature of the hue, tonal value, edges and composition.
