I got this done to me today and popping the bone back in place hurt so much I scream and cried like a baby, never punching a wall ever again

@@pranjalcr7 yeah I did, it took 4 weeks to heal, a little stiff when first getting the bandage off but it eventually comes back
my hands hurt now and I am so regret aaa
I just got fractured last saturday , and went to ER , they wrap it just like that . My question is should i go to doctor after that ? I have no money for it .. too expensive

I just broke my the head of my 5th metacarpal. My hand was splinted in a very similar way, but not at those angles. Please explain the purpose for the angles?

Same i punched a car and fractured my pinky in april and it still hurts bt i decided i wanna punch a hard wood chair n completely demolished my hand 😂

Bro after I got boxer fracture I Didn't go to orthopedic but it was so painful I cried and all night because of the pain after that day I went to school as usual because it happen in Monday night I was frustrated that I punch a plywood really hard it was really hard to wright notes and when I'm holding a ball pen or pen my hand will just give up I had a hard time eating right now it's been 2weeks and my hand seems working as before but there's still a little pain and a bump in my Pinky

I had this and my wrist was so stiff and I’m so much pain and I got hecka rashes
I should have got when I had a boxer's fracture I wanted it to just wrapped up and in splinter,
I had to get 4 plaster Paris casts on because every time they put a cast on it kept giving me trouble it was too tight and couldnt feels my thumb and tip of my fingers and my wrist was absolutely in pain
And to this day I still get pain in my my wrist and don't have full strength in my hand
It's been over a week that I got my last cast removed.
Strange thing is that I had more pain with the plaster parises including sore wrist and stiff fingers than I had with the boxer's fracture I had very little pain with the boxer's fracture
Hi Doc,
I have a boxer fracture last week and I went to ER there's only a general surgeon there but asked the orthopedic doctor to ask what to do to my incomplete ring and middle finger metacarpal fracture. But the orthopedic doctor suggested that I only need to cast and need to undergo surgery given by that, they cast my hand but the hand was in a position in straight not in a cobra form hand. Is it okay or it needs to replace in a splint and then align it kind of 45 degrees? I'm afraid if it's not okay since I heard and read that some people loss their strength or can't regain their strength faster after the healing.

What kind of bandage are you using the wrap the hand? Is that Coban/Coflex?

Same here, but mine was a week ago. I wish this kind man had done my splint instead of the paramedic who did mine in the ER. She put the fiberglass part of the splint on my forearm instead of the side of my arm. Also, my ring and pinky fingers aren't splinted at all. It's almost a waste to even wear it, but they also screwed up my ortho referral, so I'm still trying to get that straightened out. I'm sure they'll bill my insurance for about $10k, including for being seen by an actual doctor, which never happened. After watching this video, I'm even more disappointed with the service I received at that ER.

@@Kenanalasadi8989 I never did get an ortho appointment, so my hand "healed" the same way it was when it was broken. I couldn't fight stupidity, so I gave up. I now live with daily pain in that hand. 🤷🏼♀️
