This is exactly what I do with all of my 3d printed miniatures and terrain. Hollow them out, include LEDs - huzzah! Ghosts that glow, real OSL, and Super Seian mode at the touch of a switch ✌
@@scycer I don't have a channel! But there are tons of channels - even this one! - that show how to install LEDs (physically). RUclips is great! I like to digitally hollow models a bit more before going in with my drill (quite a few channels have hollowing using the software we're already using). Now that Loot has shown the use of clear resins and painting them, it's totally a logical next step to combine clear resins with LEDs! I originally switched to clear resin after discovering that I get better prints from them (light passing through them better!). Tried some of those "rubber" resins and other, thicker ones that supposedly provide some "give" to miniatures - but I'd rather have clean prints.
@@scycer One tip: Zenithal the top and sides, and NOT shoot primer/paint from the bottom: ghostly glow underneath! Two tip: Drilling through the resin leads to a filtered light effect. Slice your models just-so and you can rough up the insides - without affecting details on the outside (easier to do with terrain). Three tip: There are those tinted translucent resins, like green or blue. If you use those right off, it can save some painting time. When I print in green, for example, I usually just wash with a green and or black ink. For tip: If you do washes, you can wipe away with your finger on the "high points" and that "highlight" won't be filtered by the ink.
Hi! Great video. Any chance you could link the name of the products used? Some of those specific colors came out great and id like to use them as well!!

What clear resin was used to create the water, fire, and air elementals?

Nice! LEDs for life! ahahah 😅 Jokes aside we really enjoy them 😍
@@scycer sorry to intrude, but we got a full video about the LEDs process... you can watch it here ruclips.net/video/B290DzbRMOM/видео.html
Awesome work! I'll be buying some transparent resin as soon as it's back in stock, because I NEED it for these models!
Looks stunning
You can also mix a drop of alcohol based color in the resin before printing.
loved those
Amazing!
lovely

These would be even cooler with LEDs. Frat job guys!
Muito bom. Top mesmo.
great!
why should Air Fire and Water Elementals wear armor? xD
I'm confused by the alchol-based paint. Isn't alchol based paint the same as acrylic?
Hi, we just made a quick video to clarify this kind of doubts. You can watch it here ruclips.net/user/shortsNPmqrvV11qc?feature=share
