I have to admit Chris that is one of the better looking Savage Flux vehicles that I have seen. What's funny is we all have been in a similar situation as yours, putting off much needed upgrades. However I am glad that you got it in so we can see some of those HUGE bashing jumps you like to do. Good luck to you.

+rocbud43 Thanks Roc! Hey man sometimes you just gotta get some therapy and jump a truck! Youd love it especially with your love to customize and upgrade!
+2cwik4u104 Wouldn't recommend FLM Towers. Folks on Savage Central were bending them when jumping small ramps. I love me some aluminum upgrades, but plastic is good in some spots..
Actually I had the worlds first Savage flux XL back in 2009 using a nitro chassis first and then a short run custom chassis documented on RC Universe. I never had that center diff though, also why I sold it in 2010. This is an old video but I still have a soft spot for Savages. Where is that bash spot? Ray at trackday told me it still exists.
Wolfpack 718 That’s awesome to hear bro! I would love to see that thread! You’re an innovator! I feel that the savage has lost momentum because of the center transmission but with the ALZA DIFF conversion it has Made this truck unstoppable! Such a beast and uncontrollable power! Unfortunately this location is no longer there. The footage from my bash event was the last RC event at that location. I had to get permission from the town of Brookhaven and the property owner and everyone that came to the event had to sign a waiver and that was the last official time anyone has driven there and they have since started to build a church on the property. It’s unfortunate because I drove there for many years and had a lot of good memories there.
EVERYDAY RC that sucks I found this thread www.rcuniverse.com/forum/hpi-monster-truck-forum-250/8821499-pics-awesome-flux-xl-black-tvps-installed.html Funny to see this old stuff now. 10 years ago is such a long time. So where do you run now? Oh I also customized the diff cases slightly to use 7075 aluminum shock towers from a hotbodies truggy and OFNA shocks. I did a lot of custom work to it, can’t remember it all now.
That’s an awesome thread bro! Here is the most updated version of the truck. I installed the Innovative RC shock upgrade with Losi XXL2E shocks. Works amazing. ruclips.net/video/h4AXTm7Pfvk/видео.html
Excellent video! I have the same problem with the differential. He suspected that the center differential was the solution. Thanks for clearing my doubt. I go by the Alza racing kit!
@@johndicarlo7552 hey John. Sorry don’t know if I can help you find one. I would research how many teeth and cross compatibility with other center diffs on other HPI’s. I'm overwhelmed with envy, I'm really looking with the savage line up but if I ever do pick one up It will have to be the X 5.9 without a doubt. unless something else pop ups in the savage range but quite difficult at the moment as I'm putting a fair bit of money in the 5b. Thumbs up, Killer savage you have their, I have had my alza savage xl for about three years now, and built a second one based off the flux 2350 and have yet to blow a diff in either of my savages, I did do all three diffs with vorza diff cups, because they have a larger bearing fitted to them, which is another weak point on the stock savage, you can google vorza cup diff mod for savage, I am running the Hot bodies HBC8101-1 diff gears, but are getting hard to find. It is the alza racing dual servo plate that you were talking about, I also recently ditched the XL axles, they were the only part I was breaking... Tekno pinions or other pinions that have the m5 set screw are the way to go, least likely to back out causing the pinion to come loose. Also I am running heavy diff oils 500k center cant remember front but it is 180 to 300k, I was having problems with too much power being dumped to the front wheels, which ever wheel lifted first would pizza cutter and as soon as it touched the grouns would pull the truck in that direction, took me a while to figure it out but going thicker diff oil solved it... vid of it shooting left and right. ruclips.net/video/clTVM2CqDzY/видео.html My most recent vid, gets a hard on for the trees towards end of vid. ruclips.net/video/R-fL684V-gA/видео.html

+EVERYDAY RC the vorza diff mod came out before the alza center diff, so may not be necessary, I would say run it as is, if you blow a bearing, or break a cross pin inside the diff, the reason the bearings and cross pins would go is you drive cup and shaft could rock back and forth causing rotation wobble.... you at least have an option, their may be something better out now, but that was the way to go for blown bearings and snapped cross pins. : ) forum.silentdrc.net/silentd_forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=299

I'm still weeding through any issues that it supposedly didn't have. Just got some fresh new batteries for it and hope to get some more packs in it. How are your integy 17mm hex things holding up, i have mine installed on the xl axles to make my stance super wide, but hexs keep stripping the inside of my wheels than i lost a wheel because the damn 17mm hex came undone and i lost the small pin in there, so i think im going to go with the Hot Racing 17mm hexs

I just converted my Savage flux ho to the xl with the Hpi conversion kit,and now the truck doesn’t want to wheely anymore, it just has a strong smooth launch, witch is nice, but should I have changed the stock Savage flux hp ,pinion and spur gear too? Does the Savage flux come use a different pinion and spur?
The HPI Super 5SC Flux is 5th scale and same trany . Slitely differant gears and shafts, BUT it has a center dif. Check out the parts @Vortex Hobbies parts finder . The convertion is about $150-200. I'm doing ALZA 5B W/CC 2028 and MAMBA XL2.

Hellooo from the UK, I've been grinding you're videos lately, liking them, in fact loving them! Keep up the good work bro. I need a little help I'm converting my savage 25 nitro to electric but I don't know what motor & ESC combos are good for 1/8 trucks. My budget is from £100-£150 (145-217 dollars) any suggestions?
Great video but the problem is you need to shimmy all the transmission, if you shimmy the transmission forget about broken parts, anyway I like your solution. I always shimmy all rotational parts, even diffs.
+Rafael Rosales Hey Rafael its great to see you my friend! I shimmed everything I could on my savage! Still bro the Pinion bevel gear! You will love this ALZA setup!
+Luis Castro The original wheels tires work fine. My friend use a set of stadium truck 2.2" tires for onroad as they have better grip. But that's the only reason.

+Purple Snak3 Thanks for watching! Gklad you enjoy the show! Look into Hobbywing they are great!
You will love this ALZA setup!
can you guys tell me of a a traxxas slash can use on road or is only for off road
+Luis Castro Both
+EVERYDAY RC do i need different wheels for a slash on road
+Luis Castro The original wheels tires work fine. My friend use a set of stadium truck 2.2" tires for onroad as they have better grip. But that's the only reason.
+Ken Trapnell thx
can I use with nitro
There is a nitro savage some parts are interchangeable
And a lot off Informationen. :)
+Mick G. Thanks for watching!
That ESC is no longer in any new traxxas vehicles.
+Andrew Fritz Thanks for watching! Yes its for the original mamba monster but still readily available
