Hi Eugenia, it's nice to hear about Ukrainian Christmas and how the Soviets tried to change the way that Christmas is celebrated (I suppose it was the same in all countries that they occupied) But it is hard to destroy people's beliefs as they will like you said do it in secret. But now you can celebrate Christmas as you should, even though now it is on Dec 24th instead of the Orthodox Christmas on Jan 7th to distance yourselves further from RuZZia. Eugenia, thank you for the Christmas history lesson. Maybe you can put up a small Christmas tree behind you to fill the empty space. Would love to see a video on making kutya. My mother used to make all the traditional dishes when I was growing up. I still make borscht, kasha, kielbasa and pancakes that were more like crepes. Bless you and Merry Christmas! And, sadly, they support a person who defends the dictators of Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea, Belarus, among others, including the former dictator of Syria. Sadly, there are people around the world who defend a "conflict" that is a barbaric invasion in the best medieval style. Russia has a culture of war, as well as a feeling of persecution, forgetting that if the USA had wanted to invade them, it would have done so in 1991 when the communist system fell and the former USSR was left adrift. It is a long subject, what matters is that Ukraine must be a free country with guarantees that it will not be invaded again. The world has to understand that the Russian threat is a danger to peace in the world, unfortunately, some people do not want or do not know how to live in peace.
