      Anand has really been acting like a spoilt brat and a sore loser throughout the press conferences. There was no need for such sarcasm. Magnus has been much better behaved. Probably having the match in India was the worst thing that could happen to Anand. He just seems irritated by everyone around him

    Most of the commenters underestimate Anastasia. She had to manage where the microphone was, give time to questioners on both sides of the room, cut short questions which were not relevant or even insulting, and allowed the players sufficient time to discuss the crucial variations that did NOT occur on the board. I felt that she was just the right balance of yielding, directing, observing, and organizing. She also had to manage the time and be sensitive to the exhaustion of the players. She juggled all the variables very well and showed great savvy for a young lady.

      Possibly true - I think that the match with Gelfand was a dangerous contrast for Anand in that it anticipated little of what was needed for this match. Less thorough prep perhaps, and more imaginative concepts to explore would have seen a closer score.

We can just say its Carlsen who played well this time; hence, he has won the matches. We are chess lovers and we just want to see some good chess . Its all about the game not about persons.

Who cares about their attitudes, really??? Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to play in Chennai. I can imagine the pressure under which he has to play. The weight of the entire nation bears down upon him so much. This shouldn't take anything from Carlsen. He's a super player and he should have been World Champion a long time ago. Great game.

      Carlsen has done an exceptional job in beating Anand..But remember the amount of World champions Anand had and all the years he has been beating everyone else...its just sometimes the age takes over the experience and Carlsen is way too new in this arena the time will tell whether he can do it in the coming years just the way Anand did.

    There was no game where Carlsen was better than Anand. Exception is only game 4, in which however Anand could survive. Anand is just getting old and it is getting harder to play 5 hours for him. All 3 losses are just loss of concentration, but not Carlsen's domination.

      @IanBillen 10 лет назад +1

      Agreed. If this was 2001-2002 it would be an even match. As you stated... Anand after three and a half hours starts to wear now. He blunders now on the four and five hour mark bc most likely he is simply older.. this is what has cost him these games. I feel sorry for him bc Carlsen gets all the media glory and always has. Chess is a younger persons game contrary to common beleif. After 32 your just not what you were at 22,24, 26 ... After 35 your time has passed. It was not a blunder... Listen to Carlsen's explanation 3:30 - There was no winning continuation after 28. Bf1 move, all the variations were leading to draw. However, the 28. Nf1 move had a little chance for Anand had Carlsen played 28.. Bg4 or 28.. Qd1. Moreover Anand was in do or die situation. He knew that a draw is of no use, so he took his chances and made that move, but still credit to Carlsen who didn't loose his nerves and chose what was best.

    • @demon005gl
      @demon005gl 10 лет назад +1

      Banking on the other player to make a bad move doesn't justify your decision. Qe1 was just so obvious. Anytime you have other option which could lead to equal positions but choosing a clearly bad move which forces you to resign immediately, it is a blunder in my books. 28. Nf1??

    • @delapuenteignacio

      As I said Anand was not playing for draw. Anand himself said that draw was no option for him in this game.
      Anand wanted a win and at move 28 the only possibility was Nf1 as it involved complex continuations which might had puzzled carlsen.
