Líadan sing 'P stands for Paddy' on Geantraí Lá Fhéile Pádraig/St. Patrick's Day (2009) on TG4. Since the band's formation in Spring 2004, these six talented ladies create a fresh and exciting sound that explores both traditional and new material.
From Galway and Limerick this inspiring all-female band comprises of six members: Sile Denvir, harpist; Deirdre Chawke, piano accordion; Elaine Cormican, whistles. Valerie Casey and Claire Dolan, fiddle; Catherine Clohessy, flute. This female vocal and instrumental ensemble bring a freshness to modern Irish music whilst retaining the tradition.

We have this in the US as well. I have a recording by Jean Ritchie and I sang it in the 1960'st fairs and festivals. The chorus isn't in it, though. From Oakland CA
