Exatcly the song is very folk and traditional!
And just like you said the real-life footage was painted by many artists. There were 40.000 oil paintings used to make the movie :)).
I'm really glad you liked it, also you noticed correctly that she is not happy in the wedding scene, because she is actually forced into it. It might seem like a typical cliche trope with her true lover on the side but believe me it doesnt even come close! The ending is what really makes the movie different with how unexpectable it is 🌼. And yes the movie is out! It should be out in US and UK by now too. It was really BIG in Poland, the movie, actors, music won many awards, it was also our candidate for Oscars.
Just like this song reffered to one of the seasons, autumn, there are many more including 3 more named after winter, spring and summer.
The summer song that You could do a reaction to is called "Koniec lata' and the music video is made out of clips that didnt get selected to be in the movie, resulting in them not being painted. But because of this you can see how the real-life version of the movie would be as great.
The other song about spring is called "Wiosna - sowa na gaju", which you could do a reaction to because it shows a loooot of the movie, but because of it sometimes the scenes in the music video are triggering and may be gruesome, though like I said it shows a lot of painted scenes from the movie, so you could probably guess the context a lot. But this one can also spoil the movie a little for you so just saying in case!
And one more thing - I noticed a comment saying she doesn't care about land and working, which alignes with the book, but the movie is also an interpretation. Main actress who plays Jagna said that her character doesn't care about land (which basically was a sign of wealth and power) and working because it's not important to her, she tries to look beyond it, she cares about other virtues; travelling, love, experiencing life because she has a really sensitive and artisitic soul - which made her an outcast. And as a reader of the book also Jagna was pretty hardworking helping her mother around the house!

This movie is based on a school reading from the late 1800 and the girl is treated like an outcast in this village because she’s too pretty and she doesn’t really care about land and working. Nobody really likes her and they keep talking behind her back. She is forced into a wedding with the most powerful and wealthy man but she’s actually in love with his son.

This movie is called ,,The Peasants" and it's based on book with the same name written by Nobel Prize-winning Polish author Władysław Reymont
