Superb rendition!!! This guy's voice is so vibrant. It just comes at you and you'd better be ready for a listening treat. He dosen't act too badly either. For this role at least, he's very hard to beat. Classify his voice?......... very versatile bass.

Rene pape is a nice bass
It's tough for a bass to sing the F on an e vowel. He does OK. Still better is Siepi at this. Pape is a Basso Cantante.
