I literally just got out of a game with you! It was my first night playing, you joined my buddies group of three to helps get through B2. I was CardboardNebula!!! Keep up the content.
Interesting concept with Hacket - a sociopath is characterized, at least by the public at large as opposed to cyclically, as a person who feels no remorse, no guilt, and has no problems doing anything that will benefit them as long as whatever harm they cause will not come back on them. But what if a sociopath recognized he or she had these traits, realized they were not congraunt with a healthy psychological profile, and because of recognizing that incongruity he or she willingly put him/herself in a situation that would only effect them personally in a negative fashion but may be a benefit to humanity? It should be a completely illogical thing - you do not care for anyone but yourself - in fact you are clinically incapable of doing so - but you objectively recognize this isn't the way you should function and a person with such a disorder could benefit humanity (who they do not care about, mind you) by basically sacrificing themself and then choosing to do so. If you care only for yourself, then why risk the only thing you care about for things you care NOTHING about? At first glance it seems like a contradiction - bad writing, even - for surely someone who was incapable of caring about anyone but themself would not sacrifice themself for others altruistically, right? But we are not creatures of pure emotion and instinct, but of logic. And we can recognize our desires and feelings and actions are wrong via logic. A drug addict, who cares for nothing but his/her next fix, can still recognize, if not always 'feel', that the lying and stealing they do to achieve that fix hurts people, and they understand hurting people isn't 'right', and that if an individual hurts people they are a net negative on society and that society > the individual.. And if one has a strong enough will, that logic of what is right can override those instincts to do otherwise - even to the point where the only logical conclusion is to sacrifice yourself against every instinct you have. Pretty darn neat backstory, actually. Just downloaded this game today and been listening to some lore and I'm glad I did. That's a really interesting character.
I don’t think Hackett was interrogating Woods, The voice sounds gruff like his but is a little more on the British side. I could be wrong tho, after all we don’t know when exactly each of the characters were put into the Legion Programme.
GTFO lore is SUPER deep and awesome, but man if this is not one of the most dark and nihilistic universes i've ever experienced. "shit sucks. shit's always sucked. Shit's always gonna suck."
At one point between future Rundowns 10C should definitely switch Player Characters, just to have a "omg, what happened to Bishop and the others"-mystery start going, since that would invest also players which are usually not interested in GTFO Lore. Also, it would prepare a selectable Character option.
The legion program is interesting, If their memories are wiped, does that mean they can form new ones, better ones through repeated expeditions of watching each others back.
on the GTFO wiki, it says Woods’ full name is Isaiah Woods. Idk if it’s accurate or where that info was received but I feel like it was worth pointing out.
So how long has this facility been forgotten? Decades or is this facility quite new? Cuz if it's been like decades it means these sleepers have been breeding down there for awhile.
I'll be honest, part of me feels that is exactly why Hackett went for the legion program, gotta consider that his circumstances especially that in his lack of empathy leads some to simply feeling bad because they aren't sure if they are off that thin line many humans take in morale. He was a soldier following orders and if one were to seek to continue such a thought process it's in the fact he's a soldier that makes the becoming a drone more than applicable for Hackett. All in all it boils down to the mind set each have from bishops hatred of Davies enough that even now there are some instances where he may show to remember him or that of Hackett whose desire to forget his lack of empathy may have left him a better choice given he's not killing humans anymore but the abominations that were at some point.
Short answer: yes. Longer answer: GTFO has its "alive" and "dead" periods. Whenever a new major update is out, a lot of people are playing frequently for a few months and the game is very active. After a few months transpire the game starts to drift towards a "dead period." This is due to people getting to a point where either they've beaten all of the new levels, or they are at the point where it starts getting too difficult for them. The game is still active and you'll be able to find others to play with, but it does take a bit longer depending on the time. GTFO's next update (Rundown 6 which is also the 1.0 update) will be released sometime before the year ends.
@@ProfessorScaler Alright, thank you for your answer, i've purchased the game and reached A3 this game is very underrated, his mechanics are awesome and its not really laggy, for example on this game i doo 670 / 700 fps but on a simple roblox game i do 45. This game is very awesome and it also has interesting features as green light / red light, basically im in love with that game, have a nice day.
@@finaldecember-tryout4862 I've also recently bought the game and this is literally one of the best games I've ever played. Very interesting lore and story, GREAT gameplay, very good graphics and VERY well optimized. My computer can barely run games with worse graphics and i'm running this at all high (I think) without much issue
it's not realistic, but it would be very interesting if this game slowly mutated into all out warfare with whatever is left of the surface (if we even get past warden, depending on what its mission is)
Imagine last level of the 1.0 is called "GTFO" and we literally have to break out of the complex
YES
@@takrak extend follow-up with a mission the hunt?
where wardens crashing after u have to stealth pass them XD
You get to leave the complex in A1 ;)
R5 Lore talking about the characters: I sleep
R5 Lore seemingly confirming the game's name basically means Get The Fuck Out: Real shit
Warden: Wow we finally fixed everything and are preventing a global panic
Players: WOOO RIOT TIME
Warden:

Warden: Wh-
Players: RIOTTTTTTTTTTT

Just started playing this weekend and I am loving your lore videos. They are very thorough!

Man what a crazy story is GTFO going to be when it's over. I can't wait for R6 and all that's to come with it!
Thank you so much for these videos! Makes the game so much more exciting
GTFO lore is SUPER deep and awesome, but man if this is not one of the most dark and nihilistic universes i've ever experienced. "shit sucks. shit's always sucked. Shit's always gonna suck."
Thank you so much for detailed explanation about GTFO lore + your deep thought. I really want you to upload a new follow up video adding R6 info.

Very cool video! I think the R5E1 mission is definitly getting an army ready o_O
Step 8: Freedom

I heard that cat meowing in the background. I'm glad you left it in.
man if they go the route of us sludging through the underground to fighting our way OUT with our legion brothers that'd be pretty cool
What a great lore video, its so detailed and well-explained, hats off, sir!

Honestly if it wasnt for this channel i would have gave up on this game but the story alone keeps reeling me in i love it!
I want to be surprised that the legion program is created by a umbrella like company.
god whatever happen to them is more suffering then just charge into the group of titans and let them smash em dead ...
good video, thank you for make it for us.
I feel like Bishop wasn’t an absolutely terrible person and nor was Hackett.
24:05 24:25 it feels like it's on loop.
John legit Reznov but with guns.
I hope these stories are interconnected to eachother
*grabs popcorn*
YaY! Lore!
wasnt dauda's dream what we heard in the trailer?

i always knew Hackett was the most based one.
