If you'd like to hear/see Tom's more upbeat side, I recommend "She's A Lady," one of his biggest hits. This song was written for Tom by a friend of his. He comes from Wales which is a country in Great Britain and the UK. He's 80 now, he still sings and has been a coach on The Voice in the UK for many years now.

I have spoken on RUclips to the Songwriter:Lonnie Donegan's son=Peter and he confirmed he went along with that on The Voice in the duet with Sor Tom but this was not written for Sir Tom as it was written in 1961 and Tom was in The Tommy Scott welsh band then and was known until 1963.
But why ruin a good story as Tom made it his own :)
That is that wonderful music in the '60s and I'm glad I was around to listen to those songs there is a lot of beautiful love songs in the 60s

There is only one Tom Jones !! He is a national treasure here in the UK. 80 years old, still looking good and still belting it out. He was great friends with Elvis Presley, they would often sing together at Elvis's house just for the fun of it........:-)

Lonnie Donnegan wrote the song for him and Peter Donnegan appeared on the voice as a contestant Lonnies son and they did this as a duet on the Voice UK. Tom was 80 at the time. If you want to see another side of him react to Treat her right. He is a consummate performer who dueted with all the top stars both UK and American during his 60 year career to date.

This song was written for Tom by Lonie Donegan, a popular UK singer in his own right. Tom can be seen singing it on 'The Voice' A UK show, with Peter Donegan, Lonies son. In 2020. 53 years after the first one.

Imagine if you can, a 10 yr old girl, me, growing up with older parents, there were 9 of us kids and I was towards the bottom of the ladder. 7 boys and 2 girls. Our home was all about Country music. At 10 I already knew the words to so many great ones, I love music always have. So Country was the only influence by ten that I knew. Oldest brother, still lived at home, he bought a new "Color" tv to replace the black and white, but not until after I watched, heard Tom Jones perform this, live on a stage.
Mind you again I was 10. The usual night time TV line up after supper, regular watched programs was starting in our living room. As soon as this man started singing, I stopped frozen in what ever I was doing. HAD to listen and watch, and with every moment I felt goose bumps on my neck and arms. To this day I have never forgotten that feeling of amazement, the power which was his, emanate with his voice, his words and his movements. Stunned, I was. Sure there have been numerous singers over the years which I like very well, but not one has ever effected me as Tom Jones did that day. Only one has taken 2nd place to him, Steve Perry. These are not just singers, these are Artists, who have the ability to convey feelings, with every word, and note and freedom of expression that is amazing and hard to match.

Makes you feel like he is singing right to you and that you actually caused his pain. TJ is considered the national treasure of Wales, which is called the country of singers. Tom started singing as a young child and he is a natural, untrained talent. You should Google how much this powerful voice has made him in the last 55+ years...and still makes him when he still does concerts for 80,000 people....amazing is a good word for him.

It wasnt his son it was the son of Lonnie Donegan who wrote the song. At one time the son of Tom Jones was his manager.
