@@BeyondTheTrailerI like to think he went a little John Wick on her too when she called him her pet, considering Agatha is the one that did kill his actual pet.
Omg if your theory of Agatha killing her son by accidentally taking his magic is true then the words we heard from her son during this episode are probably the last words Agatha heard him say “momma please stop!” And now I’m sad 😭😭😭
I had that theory in another comment last week. It's the most elegant answer writing-wise and it's one of the few things comperably shameful to the Darkhold rumor.
@@skzip888 I’m really looking forward to seeing what happens next. I saw another theory on twitter that says that this whole episode was one of Lilia’s visions because of how short the episode is and also because there is still trials left that we’ve seen on trailers. I thought that was interesting depending on how it’s executed and explained in the next episodes.
This is the first Disney+ show that really follows the old school rules of episodic storytelling. It’s so refreshing. Normally the Wiccan reveal would have been the cliffhanger finale 😂
Yea they actually found some people that know how to storywrite for TV 😳 Although, they have had some series in the past that were well written for tv but it is far and few inbetween for Disney+ SW/MCU shows.
I completely agree! The typical streaming show model of "it's not TV, it's an 8 hour movie!" only works for shows that are designed to binge. But for a show like this that is released weekly, each episode needs to stand on it's own as a story!

Same here, i really liked her protective side. They are all growing on me more and more. I just hope the surviving witch that walks to the end of the road wants them back instead of powers and as the ultimate gift she gets both powers and her coven back❤
I expected teen to be revealed as Wiccan at the end of the series, but this early on, and he has his powers?!?! Anything can happen in the series at this point
Great catch that Billy might be the one who cast the sigil on himself. It makes so much sense that once Agatha revealed she figured out his identity, the sigil was destroyed.
I was super disappointed at the short runtime but after seeing the episode holy cow was it perfect. That’s the best short episode Disney+ has ever released. I’m so glad we aren’t saving the huge twists for episode 8!!
I actually think this is Teen's trial. His trial is coming to the realization that Agatha is evil. It also explains the 80s aesthetic which fits Teen much better than Agatha and the motif of each witch finding their power after their trial.
Sam Raimi had nothing to do with the story of Doctor Strange. He directed the film, he didn't write it. I'm pretty sure he came onto the project after the story had already been locked down
@kywieax I agree, Wanda doesn't make for a good villain, shes an avenger....just saying that Jac Shaffer would not have been a good fit for a Dr Strange movie
It was not Raimi, it was Waldron. Raimi did an amazing with the horror and visuals, but he could not have fixed Waldron’s script. He was the one who made Wanda a villain for no reason.
This has been my favorite marvel show, it means so much to see Billy. No fake out, no last minute end-of-season reveal. He's here and he's powerful, and Joe Locke is killing it in the role.

Here's my theory, Agatha is a Siphon (like in The Vampire Diaries) a witch with no magic but can adsorb other's powers (she never really learned how to control it) that caused her Mother and her coven to shun her and to see her as an abomination, when Agatha started looking into forbidden magic they turned on her and tried to killed her she was left with a ton of magic from the failed execution, a curiosity for forbidden magic and nobody to stop her. Cut to she is an infamous witch with a son, something happens to that child (falls ill or dies) her Siphon powers are of no use and no decent witch will help her so she turns to the darkest of magic to heal or resuscitate Nicholas but the magic she is using corrupts her to the point we meet her at (like we saw Wanda got after using the Darkhold) I think at an early age she took the attitude of "if you blast me a know Siphon you are basically telling me you want to die because and that means, I take all your power and you die " so she never learned to control it, I do think the Alice thing was an accident and her brushing it off is her old defense mechanisms kicking in
Agatha is definitely a natural born witch, but she was born with a unique gift/curse that separated her from other witches, which made her look unorthodox. I truly think Agatha was born to wield dark magic, just like how Wanda was born to wield chaos magic. Dark Magic doesn’t necessarily mean that whoever uses it is evil, but has free will.
@@dylanj739 I'm not very clear on the marvel magic rules, I was thinking like they might be like in the TV show Charmed she can do witchcraft, potions, enchantment, that type of thing, but her innate ability is siphoning. Like magic users can do witchcraft emphasis on the craft like Teen said but they also get a special ability like elemental control, telekinesis, premonitions, teleporting that type of thing
Finished the Episode 30 minutes ago and had planned to watch this straight after, was disappointed to see it wasnt up yet but i can definitely stay up later for this 🤣Amazing Episode!
16:47 I don’t think I would, but it made sense that they did. Wasn’t Jennifer the first who turned? And didn’t she say later that getting back their powers was the goal for “all of them.” They’re all there for selfish reasons. Wiccan’s face at the end with that crown and the song playing- perfection! As a gay man who has always loved witches, it was so cool to see a powerful male witch!!
This was such an incredible episode. I seriously havent felt this much hype and excitement since the wandavision days. I can't wait for next week and to see what comes next, and thank you so much for the breakdown!
Dont forget vision's daughter, Viv Edit: i noticed the path is yellow, so the next trial is lilia's trial in the castle. The "yellow brick road" to the trial where lilia's the good witch of the north
this show has been so fun going through each episode week by week, hearing the thoughts of the community or the coven~ and that ending is just the cherry on top! can't wait for the next one!
Wiccan is my favorite Marvel character so I'm stoked about this reveal 😁. I don't think he's a villain, he was just (understandably) upset. I do think he's had powers all along and didn't tell anyone. Agatha was telling the truth when she said she couldn't control it. Also I recently rewatched WandaVision and in the finale there's a scene where Billy briefly mind controls the SWORD agents, so we know he has that power. It was clever of him to attack Agatha by mind controlling the others, so she couldn't steal his power.
Someone said Agatha’s known since Mrs hart died because she says to Billy “I didn’t think you had it in you” and winks. And then later when he says people can’t be replaced she looks to him and says “can’t they”. Oh this is so good!
It was cool that he used his magic INDIRECTLY to attack Agatha, knowing that she could absorb him. The witches all acting super strange, to me, was all about them being possessed in that trial.
Awesome Video Grace!!! OMG THIS EPSIODE WAS AMAZING!!!!!! Definitely My Favorite Episode So Far. R.I.P. Alice. That Ending was INSANE!!! I'm So Happy They Finally Confirmed Teen is Wiccan!!! This Show just keeps getting Better and Better!!! I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT EPISODE!!!!!!
I loved this episode! It had me thinking: What would you expect her to do? As the previous ep was about generational curses & trauma-Agatha’s mother just hates her! She literally said to her face that she should have snuffed her out at infancy! 😮 like WTF?! Then we seen her turn the community against her and legit try to execute her..I mean c’mon bro-fvckin nuts. I honestly understand how & why she is the way she is. I do hate how short this ep was, but I think we’re gonna get more of Agatha’s back story-I wanna see more of her relationship between her & her mother. I’m excited.
another detail that may point that something more is going on is that the road at the end when they come out its completely different, instead of the purplish blue it turned to green. Maybe I'm reading too much into it but I don't see a reason for it to change, also they did fly through the salem seven bug cloud before they reached the cabin, maybe it was a spell or something??
I’m so sad Alice is gone. I’m literally laying in bed mourning. Thanks Grace for being here as we collectively mourn together. Great ending though still very sad. Alice just survived her curse 😭
You know what would be cool. If Tommy was reborn on a mutant speedster's body (I'm assuming Billy has the same case here) and was maybe saved by a certain white haired magnetic mutant. (Essentially giving Tommy the backstory of Wanda and Pietro in the comics). I think that'd be a good way to connect Wanda and the Maximoff family to the mutants. Because Wanda really does have very wide connections in the comics, from the Avengers to the Young Avengers, to the X-men and Brotherhood, to the mutants in general, to the mystical field like Dr Strange and Loki, and even with the darker areas like with Hellstorm and Brother Voodoo (who she once had a relationship with), as well as with Dr Doom. Even the Inhumans she's had connections lol via proxy to Pietro since he had a relationship with Crystal and she knows Wanda. She's like a business woman who knows a lot of people on call.
My favorite "Marvel TV" episode in a long time! Hopefully they can stick the landing, but regardless I'm excited we still have 4 episodes after this reveal
Grace you’re doing amazing with these breakdowns. I’ve seen a lot of love for this episode and so happy with how they are doing reveals episode to episode and not waiting till the last episode to reveal things.
It seems that Teen has already done something tragic before walking the road, hinted at by Agatha. He caused the car accident of Billy Kaplan, to gain a soul to trade with Mephisto, so he could take Kaplan’s place to find answers about Wanda. Teen is the “agent of Mephisto”, alluded to by Jenn in episode 3. This could set up a new version of the story from the comics.
He’s the one that killed Sharon. That’s why he was the one closest to her body, and the one to announce she was dead. Agatha even talks aloud that she didn’t think he had it in him, and when he asks who, she just stares at him and winks.
In the comic Agatha's child Nicholar Scatch had magic powers. He lead the Salem Seven. Agatha had to fight them and this was in a fantastic four issue. Another thing, Agatha was Franklin Richard's baby sitter.
This is fast becoming my favorite Marvel Disney plus show!! Gets better each week and I hope it continues to not disappoint! Haven't had the chance to say so, but love your look for these breakdowns!!
it could be a trial on wiccan because remember the theory is he using a dead body like in the comics so Agatha using someone to death by gaining powers might actually be what the road want billy trial of being in a dead boys body. Cause it didn't feel like the trial ended.

Cut to she is an infamous witch with a son, something happens to that child (falls ill or dies) her Siphon powers are of no use and no decent witch will help her so she turns to the darkest of magic to heal or resuscitate Nicholas but the magic she is using corrupts her to the point we meet her at (like we saw Wanda got after using the Darkhold)
I think at an early age she took the attitude of "if you blast me a know Siphon you are basically telling me you want to die because and that means, I take all your power and you die " so she never learned to control it, I do think the Alice thing was an accident and her brushing it off is her old defense mechanisms kicking in
Agatha is definitely a natural born witch, but she was born with a unique gift/curse that separated her from other witches, which made her look unorthodox.
@@CarmenJonnes06 i understand what you’re saying that would be interesting
Imagine if billy says something like "And you killed sparky too" OMG I WOULD LOVE THAT SO MUCHHHHHH!!
Wiccan is not an extremely popular character but yes he's a fan favourite among niche Young Avengers fans.
Finished the Episode 30 minutes ago and had planned to watch this straight after, was disappointed to see it wasnt up yet but i can definitely stay up later for this 🤣Amazing Episode!
I only got 1-4 in advance, so now I have to do my notes & film after the episodes drop. Thank you for your patience!
Thanks Grace! I was waiting for this. Thank you for your hardwork.
Dont forget vision's daughter, Viv
Edit: i noticed the path is yellow, so the next trial is lilia's trial in the castle.
I’m really loving this show so far! Your breakdowns are part of the fun too!🎉
I just ordered my Wiccan costume today! I had a feeling it would be revealed and this is perfect timing!
Haven’t felt like this, rewatched a scene like this, since “you’re the scarlet witch”… we’re back!
Best episode since Wandavision. I’m excited to see more! My only question though is what about Tommy??!?
I totally geeked out at the end! Can't wait for next week's episode!
I think Agatha figured out who teen was, because right before he showed up, she was channeling Alice’s magic so she got her intuition back
Grace I LOVE that you love this show as much as we do too! BTT has become appointment viewing for me now
i was stunned! now i am so excited to see where Wiccan goes from here, and i want a makeup tutorial!
It seems like Agatha is almost a witch version of Rogue - unable to touch magic without absorbing it (as opposed to life force).
It is adjacent to lifeforce.. for witches, is more or less the same.
You know its real when you get a Wiccan actor at the Avengers theme park.
EVERY BODY CALM DOWN GRACE RANDOLPH POSTED HER BREAKDOWN !!!!!
Another reason that Rio might not have wanted Agatha to be left in the trial is because Agatha would continue to exist there instead of dying.
What an episode indeed!🎉
I’m definitely dressing as Wiccan for this year 🩵
I loved this episode!
OMG was about to go to sleep but thank god I checked if you uploaded. Was literally waiting for this 😂
I’m so sad Alice is gone.
I’ve seen a lot of love for this episode and so happy with how they are doing reveals episode to episode and not waiting till the last episode to reveal things.
stayed up for this! so excited
We're so back!!! Agatha thought she had him figured out 😂
It seems that Teen has already done something tragic before walking the road, hinted at by Agatha.
If that's the direction I like it
He’s the one that killed Sharon.
That’s why he was the one closest to her body, and the one to announce she was dead.
Agatha even talks aloud that she didn’t think he had it in him, and when he asks who, she just stares at him and winks.
I may not be having a good time with Agatha anymore but I am incredibly happy the BTT community is! ❤❤❤❤❤
incredible episode and a brilliant review!!!! thank you Grace ❤
Anyone else think the ouija board said Mr Shart?
In the comic Agatha's child Nicholar Scatch had magic powers. He lead the Salem Seven. Agatha had to fight them and this was in a fantastic four issue. Another thing, Agatha was Franklin Richard's baby sitter.
The ending to this episode was awesome!!
Another Amazing video Grace!!!! Was waiting for hours! So worth it!!!!
The broom sequence is my favorite. I was so happy watching it.
You are so funny Grace. You was so sure the show would not do well abd you are giving so much applause now!!
Stayed up late for this breakdown!! Thank you Grace!! Such a great episode
