My favorite part was the montage when Lilia was reading out each tarot card and we get visions of her coven and what each card means to them. The music was just moving stuff. I loved it.
How seamlessly all of Lilia's "gaps" in time fell into place was just masterful and so well done. This episode was on another level! When Jim Croce's Time in a Bottle started playing at the end, my eyes began to well up.
The contrast between the curse of her gift and the beauty of having a sense of clarity at the end was art. I have never in my life seen the beauty of someone seeing their life flash before their eyes captured so effective before.
The way the tarot cards were part of the promotional material and they had them act out the exact poses in the show and it all made sense… Jac Schaeffer is a MASTERMIND… best episode imo!!!

Lilia arc really touched me and Patti’s acting only enhanced that. That was a sadness around Lilia’s powers but by the end of her “cycle” she died with a purpose to protect her cover 🥲

So many good lines in this episode but my tops have got to go to "You want a straight answer ask a straight lady" "Well I AM a Queer-rent"(Coupled with Agatha's annoyance like only I get to make the self referential jokes witch) "What can I say i like a bad boy" and of course "I loved being a witch" 😭😭😭

Jac Schaeffer is a truly inspired director in this episode cuz it could've easily been very convoluted but i feel she brought it home and Patti proved that this wasn't just a paycheck gig for her

Absolutely breathtaking episode, Patti LuPone did everything and more! As did Joe Locke. There's a beautiful quote this episode makes me think of. "Fear is a fire that can burn your house down. But can also cook your food." Lillia took her fear and cooked a feast that she could dine on with her coven within her last breathes. 15/10 ❤

Honestly, I hope we somehow see Lilia again. In some projects that could take place in the past. They could just say that the moments we would see with her could be a gap that was previously unfilled.

6:20 a minute or so ago, you mentioned that death could show up anywhere and has already met some avengers. That really got me thinking- multiple projects have made a point of introducing the afterlife, I wonder if their plans for death factors into that.
What an episode! It was hard to follow at first but definitely packed a punch by the end. I already rewatched it and it flowed better when you’ve already seen things play out once before.

Hahaha another Civil War moment?! 😂😂 Great episode. I was worried about the time, but I feel content with how much they packed in the episode.
I think “Tower Reversed” might actually foreshadow a combining of all three parts of Billy’s Tarot. The “reversing” of the event in the tarot, which seems to be a lightning strike, would see both Billy Maximoff and William Kaplan come back to a resolution to form one individual, one tower, capped by Wiccan’s crown
This was my second fav episode after 3. I think it was a mistake to have episodes 6&7 have Agatha so far on the sidelines but I’m hopeful the last two will recenter her as the focus.
I predicted that there'd be an episode called "i hold death's hand in mine", but I thought it would be the rio/agatha-centered considering they're a couple and they've been on this journey together killing witches for so long....I was not prepared for this! Lilia!😭😩

A brilliantly written and heartbreaking episode. She achieved so much clarity and acceptance, that she even realized she didn't have regrets, as pained and as lost as she had been in life. She realized she was going out having loved being a witch, and honored to make that sacrifice for the coven she had come to love. Death comes for us all, and it was her time. She could face death unafraid. I can only dream of having that kind of peace and fulfilment when my time comes. Probably going to cry all week. Goddamit, Jac. But also, if you look closely at The Tower card, it looks like Wiccan's crown is blowing off of the tower on fire, with what seems to be the remaining 2 Salem witches falling to their deaths. I wonder if that is going to mean something.
This was the episode that sold me on Jac Schaeffer directing a Scarlet Witch movie. I trusted her with it before, but this episode made me WANT her to do it.
So essentially her and The Time Traveler's Wife dude have the same power but while he travels physically to different points of time of his life she travels mentally there
I'm officially choosing to believe that none of the witches in the coven are actually dead. Here's my thoughts Both lilia and alice died right after healing a trauma that had been haunting them their whole life. It feels really inconsistent with the philosophy of the road to me, which is to give you what's missing. Especially for lilia, who said she's missing a coven... why would she die right after joining one again? Shouldn't she be rewarded for facing her fears and overcoming them? Also, when alice 'died' agatha didn't get to keep her powers, they fizzled away in her hand. People have been saying it's because the road didn't want her to have powers, but what if it's simply because alice never died? When reading tarot, lilia says 'death' isn't always a bad thing, it can mean transformation, you're becoming a new person. What if dying is actually a part of the ritual, in order to be reborn again? I feel like that would explain everything
This episode was amazing. Was in awe when all the storytelling fell into place like jigsaw puzzles. And Patti did a great job being the star of this episode. If I didn’t had any confidence in this show before, this episode cements my faith in JAC and the direction of this show going forward. Still excited for the 2 episode finale next week and now even more so.
Agatha as the Wicked Witch of the West is fitting. Because as written in the original story, she was a purely evil witch that the citizens of Oz were terrified of. And in the reimagining in Wicked (the book, not the terrible musical high-school drama travesty) she was a very good, well intentioned woman who had fickle control of her powers who became a freedom fighter for the voiceless, and was made an enemy of the land via political propaganda. Something she fed into, while feeling aloof about the whole ordeal. This is a perfect description of Agatha’s true character, vs. her reputation.
I have to be honest I’m not feeling the show. It isn’t bad but not amazing must watch TV. Suoacell and The Penguin are far superior superheroes shows, but Grace has never talked about Supacell, which is the X-men done right and doesn’t do weekly reviews of The Penguin when it is a amazing show and has more to talk about each episode. I feel she doing weekly reviews of Agatha All Along to promote the show because it is a female lead cast and that is fine. This show should have been more like Witches Of Eastwick a comedy with real horror elements and horror scares. But the show is more like Hocus Pocus Disney goofy that is ruining the tone of the show and dramatic elements. I watch the show out of duty, not because I am excited to see the next episode like I am for The Penguin and was for Suoacell.
I did appreciate that the art department kept to the style of the Ryder Waite Tarot deck while also making it their own. Death represents a change not necessarily a death and Lilia was changed which I liked. Still would have liked to have seen a cameo of Deadpool appear to kill the Salem Seven ala the comics. I hope we get to meet sometime in the future the vampire Lilia mentioned palling around with (and broke their tooth) in the future.
The directing, the cinematography, the angles, the reveals? JAC has me impressed 😭
