Like the name change Trucker Kev! Keep on grinding, love your content! Totally agree about time flying by. I just started class 1 and my first run was down to Basingstoke, a 3hr30 run. Felt like half an hour
Keep up the hard graft and the videos they are great I’m taking my class 1 test in November and hope to be on the road, love your channel and your honesty keep it coming thank you I’ve learnt a lot
Quick tip, when heading up the A34 towards the M40 northbound, if the traffic is heavy or the M40 is jammed up, take that last turn towards western on the green, it runs parallel to the motorway and brings you to the next m/way junction by chievley services.
Love your videos man, currently on a course to get my HGV class 2 and then going onto class 1, can't wait to get onto the open road, currently doing multi-drop for amazon and just want to drive, you make it look so fun as well, definitely more excited watching your videos man keep it up.
How did it go mate? I work for amazon too as a driver and it's not too bad but I just want to drive, not in and out the van 200 times a day with rubbish shift times and bad pay, but I start my 2 week straight to class 1 training on Monday, and have my test on the last Friday
@@KingRyan9505 Still on the course now mate, as its through the government and its free it takes a longer time to get as opposed to paying. got my theory on the 6th and then onto practical training :D
Another great vid :) I'm a new pass and started work about a month ago. It's stressful as hell to begin with, but gets that little bit easier as each shift goes by. My reversing is still soooo shocking though!
Thanks lad !!! And With time mate it will come !!! And as you start going to new places and learning how their procedures work etc you will know what to look out for, It’s always stressful in the beginning you be smashing it in not time !!!
@@TRUCKERKEV I need to find some trunking work. We do some deliveries to farms in the middle of nowhere and it aint good for my stress levels as a new driver lol.
How did the job searching go?. I will be starting my training soon as I have only just sent off for my provisional. I am a little worried about finding the first lot of work for experience as I hear it can be hard.
one thing i like about your videos above other Trucker RUclipsrs.. is you show us the nitty gritty.. you don't just show us the road ahead and some deliveries.. you also show us the life in the truck.. sleeping arrangements and then other stuff.. perhaps in other videos show us some ways you feed yourself and what stuff you take with you but please don't go to the lengths of showing us how you take a number two.. that might ruin it for you haha
Haha thanks buddy means a lot !!! Hopefully I get another tramping job as your right I want to show off some of the bits that will defo help everyone stay comfortable now that I know what to expect !!! 👊🏾
Keep the cab straight with the trailer on a bay, if another truck needed to get on that bay it makes it tighter, and you’d only moan if they had your wing mirror off! I’m assuming you got a sweat on getting on the bay?
Honestly everyone here has felt the same !!!! It’s all about having the ball to just get out there and take it how it comes hahaha we are all shit at it till we’re not 😅
To be honest, you’ve only recently got your class 1, last thing you should be doing is driving and recording a video, your getting too comfortable too quickly. Concentrate on the road, other road users, your route and your load. Lorries do not drive themselves and you cannot rely on the driving assists, they are only there if god forbid you fall asleep at the wheel.
With all respect.... The camera is in a fixed position... Its exactly the same as having a conversation with a passenger or having a phone call over hands free. When I'm feeling tired I ring another truck driver and have a chat, keeps you awake and alert.

Love your videos mate. Got my Class 1 practical training this month. You make me want to get on the road ASAP. Keep up the good work.
Honestly man there’s defo stresses that come with any line of work but I love being by myself cruising along to a podcast or tunes blasting !!!!
Hey man, I love the informative videos you’re making and enjoy them very good keep the hard work up :)

Hey Kev! I probably missed it but did you say which things you should have brought on your night out?
Give us a list perhaps of all the goodies and items you had to take with you for night shift? Thanks.
Moving 25 tonnes of water to Basingstoke. The world has gone mad!
Currently doing my practical training
My only worry is the first few days out in the real world, I worry about the reversing 😬
