What a load of total rubbish! This game is nothing other than a homage to Mordhau, which was cack in its own right! If you've played chivalry 1 for many hours as I have, you'll be very disappointed with the combat! it just feels like some hacky slash console game that you get bored with pretty quickly. There's no real skill involved, and the game doesn't give you the option to master moves like the overhead reverse attack that was possible in chivalry 1. I guess all the whinny little kids who kept getting slaughtered put an end to such things. Now it's all allegedly about balancing the combat to make it fairer on players who don't put in the hours to learn! The result is a game that is just plain boring!
Is that why Mordhau is basically dead and chivalry 1 never reached the heights chiv 2 has? Chiv 1 and Mordhau’s “mastery” was making your attacks look like a seizure. Chiv 2 requires you to actually pay attention to your surroundings and rewards you for having good footwork and coordination with teammates

Currently at level 61 and have been playing it off and on since it was released, but still learning new things! I learnt everything there was to learn about Chiv 2 and Mordhau in the first 50 hours of gameplay!

The skill ceiling theoretically isn’t as high. Not that anybody will ever reach it in either game.
