I am amazed by this wonderful programme for youngsters, a special place for a special time in their lives, with lessons for us all to hear. Thanks so much for the programme and the post.
Not one of these lads emotions, confusions, joys and fears is something more or less than what I lived through between 12 & 19. I survived, I am old now but when I see these lads in todays awful world there are a couple that one automatically fears for. I wish them ALL, good health and eventual happiness. Always find someone to lean on through difficult periods because in reality we never do finish "growing up"!
Puberty is the most challenging stage for everyone. Teenagers and the parents should see this great documentary. Glad these boys taking it well. Pray bright future ahead of these boys. Thanks for sharing your experiences boys.
It's interesting that Andrey chose the motto - Be yourself and you'll shine. About 35 years ago I knew a family of 3 boys. The youngest boy sort of lived in the shadow of his big brothers and at 14 was very lacking in confidence. I told him not to try and impress others but just to be himself and let people take him as they found him. Recently I met him again after many years. He'd grown into a fine man with a successful career in music. He told me he'd never forgotten my advice as it was exactly the right thing to say to a young insecure teenager. I was so pleased to know that. I hope Andrey and all the other boys are as successful.
Honestly this was wonderful. As a mother of two teenage boys. I felt like these are things they struggle with but don't tell me because of course I'm mom. Also I need to know what happened to Andre. The weight lifting boy. Why wasn't he on stage!?
That would be difficult, to go through social changes, at the same time with voice changes and trying to learn what new skills need to be developed. I liked that they were trying new songs and managing to create a good sound in "a new area". Hope they do transition and continue on. It is wonderful to sing with good male singers, a rich, carrying sound.
The SPIRIT of a beautiful voice never changes. It is maturing into a beautiful soul that is even more divine. It's an extension of your talent. So please don't be afraid of change. It's the pathway to true enlightenment. You must remember that music is the UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE and connects you with the multitude of Galaxies. So in the words of Helen Reddy "KEEP ON SINGING YOU'RE GONNA BE A STAR SOME DAY...." Guess what guys YOU ARE A STAR!

Its never too late!! Its not that difficult! I learnt reading well when o was 22 or so, and learn playing piano still learning now, learnong guitar at 25, my aim is to learn new things all the time!

Wonderful. This took me back to when I was their age and all the confusion and emotions that I felt at the time. To be honest, I still feel this way.

I stopped choir after high school because I couldn’t read music. A bit of a shame as I love to sing. I wish learning it was required at a young age.
You can teach yourself to read music. It's not difficult to learn the basics and there are lots of good inexpensive books available to help you.
