Vote.. AHEM AHEM. VOLUNTEER, AHEM AHEM.
I remember when RUclips was great....
Why won't it EVER behave right anymore?
Because Google. As Google got bigger and bigger they got more greedy and don't care how their services run anymore as long as they make the maximum amount of profit. RUclips should have never been sold to them, because RUclips was for content creators and Google doesn't care about them.
Because they're all a bunch of left shills
"We take copyright very seriously…" yeah, sure, RUclips 💀
They do, it’s just a testament to how broken copyright laws are.
You don't understand. They make it incredibly easy for the big shots to copyright strike their stuff. Google doesn't care about the little guy and all the scammers and abusers of copyright, and they don't want to spend further resources preventing it.
they don't take anything seriously.
i'm so sick of companies giving generic NPC / AI ahh responses.
this time it's not even youtube's fault; it's SESAC

Not only are the songs blocked, But the instrumentals are as well. And since most instrumentals are posted to RUclips. They are all gone now.
Theres absolutely no way they can actually get away with this for long, this is insane.

Why do music publishers hate when people listen to music?
I hate copyright, region locking and licenses. They ruin media.
Lets open the history books for a second here:
Back in 2009 RUclips Germany and GEMA ("Society for musical performing and mechanical reproduction rights") started a legal dispute about how musicians should get payed and because of that loads of music got blocked in Germany.
This dispute lasted 7 YEARS ! So if both sides are a bit too stubborn this blocking may last for years.
No, I bet you $100 this is permanent.
Biggest advertisement for CDs and physical media right here.
the worse thing is that they've blocked songs that were copyright free, like electric joy ride's songs (in ncs)
once again copyright being awful and the only ones benefiting from it are huge companies and firms.

So there's a Blackstone, BlackRock AND Black Boulder.
Blackstone and Blackrock are separate, but related entities. They used to operate under Blackrock, but split along the way. Regardless shady shady shit. Blackrock has hands in a lot of military and government shit, and I feel like the creator of Blackstone likely wanted to get away from that and that led to the split. But I haven't dug too deep. This is exactly why I’ve started buying everything on dvd/cd. Once I heard about the crunchyroll business. Everything I love is now on dvd or cd.
No because if that were the case Microsoft and D+ would be in that boat too. It would be impossible to do streaming services with licensed content due to the risk of lawsuit.
youtube music is unaffected
@@lankylonky22 which lends credence to the scare tactic for a good deal by RUclips since they don’t lose out on using the music until next week or so.
No, they pay for what RUclips offers. If RUclips decides to no longer offer it or the artist decides to not offer it in that platform anymore then that’s it. It’s no different than Netflix taking shows off their catalog. They may lose subscribers because of this, but nobody is guaranteed to have access to something on a streaming site for forever.
