Well in terms of learning all those characters, kind of. But I mean the characters sometimes resemble the word. For example 木 is wood or tree and 森 is forest. For forest it's just the character tree stacked and repeated. Also Chinese grammar is super similar to our English grammar and in some ways actually a lot easier. Idk maybe take a try at learning it and seeing how you like it :DD (But then again, pronunciation is a whole different story)
Galaxy Dawn Woo I heard something about it but I didn't know this about grammar being simple cuz I always thought it was more complicated. Yeah, the pronunciation must the most difficult part but maybe with a little effort!

Also, adding "Ye" does not always mean grandpa. For example, historically "Shao Ye" means something like "young master". Now the meaning of the word has evolved, where adding "Ye" signifies respect + street cred (???) i guess? Kinda like referring to someone as the real OG (lol).
Bonus, Kanye is "Kuang Ye" in chinese lol.
MINGJUBU'S WIFE it's less formal, more like slang way to show someone's super awesome. Like how in English we call people "boss".
