For those who do not understand SC2 Protoss Carrier rush is an oxy moron. It is not a rush unit. To segway from cannons on one map to Carriers like that was brilliant! In addition to the 2 Carriers he has 2 Void rays and is making Adepts with glaves.
Your editing is very good and so is the choice of games you upload. I would prefer to also have the deciding game of the series included in the highlights package, even if it is not a great game. Love your channel though!
PartinG's strategy with the Carrier rush seems like a pretty good idea, imo, it's just that things didn't go as planed. Between losing the third Nexus due to the Carriers being in the middle of the map and researching Resonating Glaives only to have the Adepts do nothing with it, PartinG was not having a good time.
@@goobrrrr Same reason why Terrains were rushing Battlecruisers, to force a response from the Zerg, and then hit them with Mass Glaive Adepts after they spent their money to deal with the Capital ships. @@angelcolon4306 That's one option, but I just liked it when they were maxed in number. I have no problem with them being strong in the early game to deter pushes or harassment. My big thing is largely that there are always so many. Which definitely needs to happen sometimes. So my solutions are a bit out of the box, but they're there basically to let Zerg do what they need to do. So my first option has generally been, nerf back to 1 per hatch (or 1 per hatch + 1 - where perhaps the first queen is stronger). But give a slight energy regen buff so that one queen can do more tumours consistently perhaps. I suspect a few problems would come from this, so a second change/trade-off might be needed. I would argue for a 'passive nearby regen buff'/'passive damage buff' - even on things such as Spores and Spines. But get rid of the burst heal and large heal over time of transfuse. It was still nice to see Parting come up with such an unconventional strategy.
PvZ when you rush carrier you give the advantage to your opponent: slow, costly trash unit easily get countered by queen. Morover, the more you dump money on this trash, the less unit you have to cover your base. You cant do damage equal to your investment and you lose your base, GG is inevitable.
