- I demonstrate how I do a control zone transit VFR. with full atc and skydemon view you can get the situational awareness you need to be able to understand exactly what is going on.
control zone transits are transits through airspace which are controlled and it is often something that PPL pilots are afraid to do incase they mess up. its actually very simple and similar to a MATZ penetration.

Thanks for watching, please give the video a like if you enjoyed it as only one like makes a big difference.
As a controller in the uk can I just say your RT was perfect, keep it up!
Appreciate that! What’s your station? All the best
@@YoungTruckerUK Newcastle now but starting at Gatwick this summer which I’m looking forward to!
I like the way your missis(I hope it is anyway🤣) is relaxed and reading a book in the plane, with my helicopter flying my missis would be shitting herself 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Haha indeed she is my partner and she wanted to keep busy on the longer flight up north. When we got to the humber though she loved the views of the bridge and estuary :)
Another great video Jordon! Should hopefully be doing my first transit through Birmingham's airspace on Tuesday with my instructor, so your video has come in quite handy with my prep! All the best 👍
Amazing timing! Thanks all the best with your first controlled airspace transit. Honestly flying in controlled airspace was and still is exciting for me
@@YoungTruckerUK Thanks! I'm quite looking forward to it, should be fun 👍
Nice video. I've transited Southend (quiet) and Farnborough (fairly busy), so it's nice to see that one of the big London airports is no more intense to cross than those two.
Great video again Jordon thanks for sharing it!
Thanks Darren :)
Great video I really enjoyed it
Great video mate 👍
Great video!
Anther great video, Interesting stuff it reminds me of my air cadet days nearly 40 years ago flying chipmunks we used VOR to navigate in those days.
It's still something we do today although Skydemon takes a lot of that requirement away. It is still taught though and used as a back up. Seeing a lot of them going away now though (like NDBs) in favour of RNAV waypoints
@@YoungTruckerUK There's been and will continue to be some fantastic improvements.
Good channel I like the mix of trucks and aircraft 👍
Glad you like the mix and match of videos. Plan to do a vlog day at work tomorrow :)
Amazing video like always.
Great video and thanks for sharing 👍👍🚁🚁

Really enjoyed it. But why speak so fast? Is it a requirement?
Very useful. Thanks.
