I've been eyeing a 701 for a while now, to take on some road trips from London to europe, so glad someone's pushing it's limits and getting some proper use out of it! Can't wait to see where your adventure takes you
@@williamrae9954yeah. I’ve not had one of them. I love the red but the alloy wheels don’t belong on a Supermoto. Plus the resale value of gasgas are rubbish.
Great to see a woman choose a Husky 701 - I think you must be the first I've heard of. Nice to see young people enjoying biking and sharing the experience. Ride safe.
Firstly, sensors, very sensitive, I got pulled in for "nitrates"(from the agri-world),you were searched without knowing it! I've toured Europe on a SM,a Gilera RC600 with 17" rims on, Scotland to Namur for the motocross, then up to Stockholm, back across to Bergen,Norway, home. Then I built a MuZ Baghira SM, and went back to Scandinavia on that,2 up, supermotos are the best thing for over there, with a slightly studded tyre on,for the shale roads(I met my first one without warning at nearly 70mph,I'd have come off a road bike). Currently eyeing up a 701,why I'm on here...great trip!
Freshing to see more and more girls on bikes videos. Very envious of your trip to Germany - especially Black Forest, and no doubt B500! Lovely part of Germany with awesome motorcycling roads. If you head to central Switzerland, check out the magnificent Lauterbrunnen just south of Inter Laken. It is not far from Grimsel and Furka passes. Ride safe.
Amazing Ellie, you girls rock and are truly inspirational! Can't wait for the day I will have my own bike and go out on tours too. Stay safe girls and bring on more videos! 💖👍👍
I went on a road-trip from the Netherlands to the south of France on my 701 SM. Did some serious off road as well and had no issues accept for a flat rear tire, thats all. The 701 is one beast of a machine 👌🏻
Haha, your german phinetics are very good, I am german and grew up in Spain with a lot of brits, always fancied the british woman, very stylish and attractive back in the 90s. Got a 701 as well and will drive it to Spain from Berlin . Unfall- und bullenfreie Fahrt (Accident and cop free rides).
Nice video! I am planning to do some long trips in my ktm 690 and i would like if you have any tips for long trips since the 701 is similar to the 690. I saw you use a os-base mount, any feedback of how good it is? You got lots of weight in the rear, i know the 690 is prone to brake the subframe bolts when you got too much weight in the back. I advise to switch to stronger bolts. If you like mountains roads you should visit Portugal, is full of them.
Same, what year is your 690? Mine’s a ‘21. Still have to find some decent bags for the bike and maybe a chain lube. Any info for the seat perhaps? Feels kinda stiff after a hundred kms.
@@lvv700 hey! I actually sold mine this month for a tuono, the ktm was very reliable for me, no issues after 7k miles. Swapped it cause the aprilia for track and road. Here is what I found out: - Seat upgrade, you can get a seatconcept or touratech one, these are very comfortable. If you can’t get one I’d recommend using the stock one and putting gel inside or something softer, some shops do that. - Bags found out many different bags, some even fit without having to drill holes in the plastics, there’s many out there. I found some from xlmoto, but enduristan is specialized in that area, kinda pricy but solid! - chain lube: cobra or scottoil, those work great and automatically lube the chain without having to worry about it. If you go offroad a lot you might want to clean it more often though.
How comfy did you find the bike? I suppose you can go only as far as the fuel range before you need to stop! What was the seat cover you used? Thank you! Nice video
This looks like a hoot! Hope you had good gel gloves/massaged the blood back into your fingers each night! Looking forward to more, particularly if you dipped down through the Dolomites! 🤘🤘
Merci pour cette vidéo, très sympa . Juste une question concernant la 701, elle a bien tenue le rhythm de la route et autoroute ? Désolé je ne parle pas anglais 😊
Nice and genuine documentary 👍 And maybe you're a bit camera shy, but it would be nice to see some interactions or something besides the road just to get to know you a bit more 😉
Thank you! Haha, I'll try in the future! For this trip I didn't want to think very much about filming and just focus on the ride, but I'll try and get some other snippets on my next trip :D
Panniers are super easy! I used the kriega OS base And yeah. Stock exhaust is mega hot, I melted a kriega strap on it when I didn’t tie it down right Aftermarket exhausts are much less hot + you can get silicon heat guards which are definitely a good idea
@@EllieBikes cool, thanks for the info. I’ll defo return to this if I get a husky. I was trying to get into live streaming from my bike this year. Not an easy this to do in the UK. All was well until a car moved into my lane and knocked me off earlier this year. Ive also had too many run ins with speeding cameras and am looking at a ban for a while. I figure a supermoto might still be fun at lower speeds and hopefully I can keep a license for longer! And it pleases me that the Husky appears suitable for touring too, you seem to get along with it. Ride safe 🤙
@@EllieBikes Also, do you know the main difference between the standard husky (I can never spell that word) and the enduro version? Is it just wheel diameter?

Hi Ellie, Loved your vids! Did you lower your Husky as I noticed you use an Airhawk type pad so that would make it even taller unless you are very tall?
@@EllieBikes That's how I get by too, but apparenly it's illegal in the UK ( I literally just googled ) to have your butt more than 2.5" above the seat. 🙄 Guess I'll just have to keep taking my replacement butt everywhere with me. 🤔
