One thing i didn't understand is how n1 is acting downwards in the case of table's fbd ? Isn't it should be the force exerted by the man standing on it? I mean as he said n1 is the normal reaction exerted by table on man then how the same is acting downwards too?
N1 is applied by the table on the men and that same force acts on the table in a downward direction, think it as a friend of yours weighing 50kg is sitting over your shoulders so definitely you are applying a normal reaction on him but at the same time the force is also acting on your body in a downward direction, this can be proved by newtons third law of motion.
