Finally some actual hydrocore tutorials. Ive been trying Onnits shit recommendations for too long. Thank you! Between the mace, kettlebell, hydrocore I feel like I'm coming out of 2020 stronger than ever.
Been waiting for this one! It's a simple movement but the bio-mechanical breakdown and cues are super useful. Can't wait to hit it today. Looking forward to more bag swinging content!
@@MarkWildman You are producing by far the highest quality training videos on RUclips. Finding your channel was a literal game changer for me, took me from meh to an intermediate athlete. If you put out a program, Id spend money on it!
Good stuff as always, mine arrived last week, 3 days to the UK. Not ready to start using it yet but looking forwards to more tutorials and taking it away cycle touring in a few weeks time
@@MarkWildman Welsh Marches and then down to South Wales for the coast, not planned a route yet. I've always loved the idea of cycling coast to coast USA, so much to see. 6 weeks ago I hadn't cycled in 25 years so for now I'm happy doing 50 mile training runs 3-4 X a week which has meant cutting back on other bits of training for now. It's largely thanks to your tutorials (and a couple of other trainers) that I had good fundamental strength to get back in the saddle, cycling has given the training a real focus and purpose, I'll be 53 in November but it feels like I've started turning the clock back now, thanks for the help and inspiration
Hey mark. I'm in a good shape and getting great info out of this series. How should I program the timing using the hydrocore? 40 secs/20 secs? Reps per minute?
@@TheChilator ruclips.net/video/nW_S1Pq14XI/видео.html he says in this video he started w 9 mins of continuous movement...every minute on the minute building on the move before that. Gradually increasing up to 30 minutes 😳
Mr. Wildman you’re videos are amazing my hydrocore will be here Wednesday and you got me stoked to try all of these workouts. For someone who has only body weight exercise experience and little to no kettle bell and weightlifting experience is there anything I should know or would you recommend just making light at the beginning to learn the moves properly and avoid injury. If I didn’t completely answer my own question and there is any advice you could give me I would love to hear from you. Thanks Mark -Dillon from Florida ✌️
you can if you are good. i do but many people don't because the kb is usually exactly at knee height in the center of the movement and that can cause concern. id recommend club before kb for sure
It's microloadable. The sloshing introduces more chaotic movement requiring you to recruit more muscles to control. ruclips.net/video/nW_S1Pq14XI/видео.html
What they said but also travel - I think you can pack pavlhandles (portable clubs), hydrocore, rings with a door anchor and made be a Cerberus v2 sandbag and you have insta gym
I'm feeling this in my mid-back. Similar feeling I get after a bunch of front squats, tho that may be higher. Am I doing something wrong, or do I just need to get stronger there?
Admittedly I thought the hydro core was not for me. One video later I just signed up for the waitlist. And I really don’t buy much but I like items that are useful in many ways.
Awesome! Barely any quality Hydrocore content out there. Thanks, Mark. Sidenote: Have you had any issues with the filling valve not working as the instructions describe? I can get the water in without a problem, but for filling with air, I have resorted to filling with my mouth directly on the nozzle and using my tongue to depress the button.
For what it's worth, I just bite down and grip with my fingers, at the same time, on the adapter/valve and twist. It definitely took a time or two to get a nice amount of air to give the bag the real size and shape.
@@MarkWildman I tried using that piece. It allows me to get air into the bag, but far too much air escapes while removing the piece and capping it. I'm happy to hear yours is good. I was hoping it wasn't just a design flaw that every bag has. I've reached out to Onnit.
@@bryanschatz You have to put the inner valve in the closed position. Then press the tube in when you blow and lift when you stop so it springs back to sealed.
M Thank you! This explanation was helpful, I was able to make this work. Am I correct that you do not “screw” the tube into the valve before blowing? I think the fact that the tube piece has threads on it is throwing me off. I finally had success once I stopped trying to screw /unscrew that piece into the valve.
You can change the weight of the hydro core with the amount of water you put in. So there is only one size of hydrocore (currently out of stock on Onnit but I think I got mine for $125?)
Altf4pressthem I know that but since MW mentioned going light and I dont think you can get a hydrocore in EU, then you could substitute it with a bulgarian sandbag which has a fixed weight.
Yazan Ooo my apologies. When I first started using it, the recommended weight was 10 lbs (the bag plus water, this was based on the manual that came with the hydrocore ). Granted, the hydrocore’s water changes the center of gravity so I’m unsure if a Bulgarian sandbag would be as effective that light; however, the light weight made me learn how inflexible my shoulders were and didn’t cause any harm due to the light weight.
Yazan well I bought mine via Onnit delivered to the U.K. - delivery was about 50 dollars by fedex - and at least you not end up needing to by multiple bags so you can decide it’s economical
Perfect timing. Just got my Hydrocore Bag today! Need more of these videos. Can you recommend anywhere else to get instructional videos on the Hydrocore?

LOL spot on. I'll watch their workouts for ideas but the presentation is always awful with lots of questionable form.
Lubricated Dorito Mark Wildman is the answer
When I tried the yoga block demonstration, I realized how much rotational flexibility I have to work on.
I'm looking forward to it.

Thanks Mark. Can’t wait for vids on this.

Nice movements, very Wing Chun-like with the feet especially!
Just got my birthday hydrocore and working through the playlist! Thank you Mark

I've been playing around with my new Hydrocore but this series will be really useful. Thanks.
just got a hyrdocore! late to the party but excited to go back in time and start with your videos!
Same here. I absolutely love it, wish I would have bought one when I first started following Coach Wildman!

thanks for these hydrocore exercise, realy appreciate

Have used jugs filled with water. That water makes it a very interesting way to train.
Precise information.

Great body mechanics, what is your martial arts background?
aikido, japanese jujutsu, long fist and krav maga
Is there a purpose for the green color water?
I’m thinking solution to help keep the bag strerile. Onnit mentions using vinegar.
just because it looks cool. the maker has blue so i went green
My hydro core is bloody still stuck in customs
FedEx India guys are just sleeping over the clearance.😢.
Hope to learn plenty from this series Mark 🤟🤟🤟

Any real advantage over the Suples Bulgarian Bag (which this is obviously modeled after)? Been using one for a month. It's a killer.
It's microloadable. The sloshing introduces more chaotic movement requiring you to recruit more muscles to control. ruclips.net/video/nW_S1Pq14XI/видео.html
micro loadable. huge advantage in programming. less important if you have 3 bulgarian bags at fixed weights already.

Get stronger. Different apparatus. Therefore different joint angles. Therefore different muscle firing
At 10.5 lbs I was shocked as to how it felt since I’m a beginner with a history of previous exercising.
Admittedly I thought the hydro core was not for me. One video later I just signed up for the waitlist. And I really don’t buy much but I like items that are useful in many ways.
My toes naturally point outwards A LOT. So this looks like a no-go.
Mark, any thoughts on the breath belt or breath exercise recommendations in general?
Like Wim Hof!
I just got a breath belt 2 days ago. So far it’s interesting. I’m still formulating an opinion
I'd love to try it but these things have been out of stock for months
these were ln stock last saturday night uk time on USA site and they ship international but out of stock since monday
you need tonregister for a stock alert on the onnit site
Is it overkill to do kettlebells, heavy clubs and hydrocore as an A B C program?
No
Very instructive video, too bad the Hydro core still out of stock. Thanks.
Thanks man
How many dance competitions has Mark won?! lol great vid as always
D Carter over 9000.

Water and mouthwash
